I have a battery pack that I pulled form a power station that didn't work and had been sitting quite a while. It is 18 - 18650s in a 3S6P configuration.
When I pulled it out, it measured about 8.7V. I put it on a charger and it was 13.38V when I took it off.
I've been watching it for five days, and it has dropped to 13.13V.
Is this normal? Is there a problem with it? Is there any reason I couldn't hook it up to some small solar panels and a charge controller ..read more

I have a dual 18k setup with 14,400w each and are set up individually as I have 400amp service (380a), I have cycled the inverter multiple times and only works with the grid bypass but does not request the solar energy to come in only for about 1 or 2 minutes then transfers back to grid power only. I have contacted my vendor with no luck. I changed my load from one inverter to another and still have the same issue. It is updated but can't tell if that's a problem or not. At the moment I'm...

I have a Sol-Ark 8k with a couple of Pytesv5 batteries. I use a Solar Assistant with them and send, through mqtt, info to my Home Assistant. Lots of sensors and controls that I can automate from HA if I want to.
I have EG4 6000xp with a Pro Power battery and a Solar Assistant for those too. I have it setup the same sending mqtt to HA. have only see a couple controls and a few sensors getting back to my HA.
Anyone else have the EG46000xp with SA to HA with mqtt ? I'd like to make sure...

In some places it is becoming more common for grid utility suppliers to offer free energy periods to household customers. I am curious as the experience of forum members around the world as to whether/where this might also be occurring.
Typically it is tied to an over supply of energy generation during particular times of day, or days of the week when wholesale electricity prices regularly fall into negative territory.
Here in the eastern states of Australia we are now seeing the emergence...

I've been looking for a jump starter to take with my LR4 in case the starter battery dies. The current offerings have more features than I need and are also more money than what I want to pay. The lithiums look interesting, but have big charging limitations. I believe LA or AGM would be better for all around climates and offer enough CCA's (500). So I was curious if I could just buy a battery that would work for jump starting and bypass buying kits. What battery would work for that ..read more

I have one 200Ah AGM battery and 2 x 100Ah AGM batteries. I was gonna connect them in both parallel and series to make a 24V 200Ah system, but 24V inverters are expensive. Can I instead connect all the batteries in parallel ..read more
