I've RTFM and experimented, but cannot get the HVAC system to perform in a manner I think would be obvious to allow for. We are now in the triple-digit Farenheit temperature time of the year, probdbly through September. If I go into a store, I cannot predict the time I will exit, so the entire remote start system that is premised on scheduling a departure is of no value. I've become reliant on the 3-press of the key fob to start the car remotely and pleased with the good range it has across a parking lot even from inside the store. Had a new one today on the way to a work function - on the highway, Mustang (pretty sure GT?) merged onto the highway and got behind me, pretty close. Car in front of us changed lanes and I floored it to give him a taste and he took the bait and kept up (albeit quite a few car lengths behind me). We messed around for a few more minutes and he went by me and gave a smile and wave. So I caught up, got beside him, and looked over to see if he wanted to run. I'm in the process of repairing a leak on my radiator hose that connects to that Mickey Mouse flange and I've reading the best way to drain the coolant off the radiator. I have an 2012 X3 F25 with the non-turbo N52T motor. I've seen lots of post saying to disconnect the bottom radiator hose at the driver side, but kinda worried that this plastic connector with break. Anyways I saw this what looks like a coolant drain outlet, but not sure if it is really a drain plug and I don't know the right way to open it.
