Recommend: a "last ditch" small fixed blade (neck?) knife

I was looking for a small fixed blade, neck knife type knife. Hope that makes sense. Something small, thin, and lightweight. Not exactly like the Kabar Last Ditch Knife, but something like it. I think the Hide Away Knife is perfect, I really like it, but I cant spend $70-140 on a knife. I was also looking at the Emerson La Griffe but its out of my price range as well. The Cold Steel Double Agent is kind of big and thick in size. The only thing close and inexpensive that I could find... Read more ..read more

I have spent over an hour looking around the internet trying to find a camping knife to my taste but can't seem to find anything decent for under $100 so I figured I would come ask here as last time I was looking for something I was having a hard time finding you guys helped me out. What I am looking for is an 7-8-inch (12-inch overall length) fixed-blade camping knife with a saw back, textured rubber grip (Like the kind on SOG knives) and a Bowie or similar shape. For some reason despite... Read more ..read more

I fell in love with the canvas micarta on my Cruwear Para 2. I'm wondering if those scales are available for my CPM S90V version of the Para 2, preferably in a darker as I can see these tan scales getting nasty looking the first time they touch blood or similar stains ..read more

Good evening all, I am new here and am hoping as a community someone out there may be able to help me. Iv been looking for some information on the web regarding a set of knives that seem to have vanished both physically and from the internet there is very little to be found. The set I am looking for were made by WOSTENHOLM Sheffield for the great expedition. The only image I can find of them is attached in the article below. I'd love to see any more recent images or information regarding... Read more ..read more

As usual I attended BLADE this year, as I have every year since it moved to Atlanta - advantage of living in Georgia and having friends maybe 20 minutes from the venue. One of my friends that usually always attends with me commented that this year might be the last. Admittedly he has a bad temper, but a lot of his complaints are valid and mirror my own. The complaints have nothing to do with the knife makers & companies, but with the venue & attendees. Parking: It seems every year... Read more ..read more
