Wisconsin top transfer portal target defensive lineman Gavin Meyer committed to USC on Wednesday.
Meyer chose the Trojans over other finalists Wisconsin, Cal and Illinois.

The veteran lineman entered the transfer portal on May 1 after four years at Wyoming. He entered with major experience and production, having recorded a combined 66 tackles, 8.5 tackles for loss and 4.0 sacks over the last two seasons.

The Big Ten Conference has been home to some of college football’s best wide receivers over the last few years.
In 2021 it had Purdue’s David Bell, Ohio State’s Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Penn State’s Jahan Dotson. In 2022 it had Purdue’s Charlie Jones and Ohio State’s Marvin Harrison Jr. and Emeka Egbuka. In 2023 it again had Harrison — who went on to be the fourth overall pick in the 2024 NFL draft.

Wisconsin’s month-long quest to land a transfer defensive lineman appears to have reached its end.
That indication came on Tuesday, when former walk-on wide receiver Haakon Anderson was extended a scholarship. His scholarship brings the program to the limit of 85, and takes any space reserved for a final transfer portal addition.

Wisconsin class of 2025 cornerback target Charles Bell will officially visit the Badgers the weekend of June 14.
The program offered Bell back on March 14. The Oakdale, Connecticut native is currently a three-star recruit.

CBS Sports updated its ranking of the 68 power-conference college football coaches earlier this month.
No longer does it include coaches from the Power Five. It’s now the Power Four (the Big Ten, SEC, Big 12 and ACC) after the elimination of the Pac-12 during conference realignment.

Wisconsin football extended an offer to three-star class of 2026 WR Rico Blassingame on Tuesday.
Both 247Sports’ composite ranking and On3’s industry ranking have Blassingame as a three-star recruit. The Tolleson, Arizona native already holds offers from 14 schools including Washington, Texas A&M, Purdue, Minnesota, Arizona, Lousville, UNLV and Iowa State.

Hill was the second 2026 defensive lineman to receive an offer from the Badgers on Monday, joining four-star EDGE McHale Blade.
