I just updated to Live 12, and received the masters from my engineer, he confirmed the masters are at -0.1db. But when I open my Ableton and drag the master versions to an audio Chanel, they go all the way to +4db, and starts clipping. I talked to him and he double confirmed everything is -0.1db, and this is an odd issue.
Is there a setting I should be aware? See picture below attached
Please Note that i didnt normalized or touched any volume parameters, my track volume and master are at 0dB. just as is when you open a new project.

I have been making music for a while and wanted to give Ableton a try. I don't quite understand the learning curve so are there any tips to try and make it easier

I made a full drum track for Sundown by Gordon Lightfoot but I lost it to my last laptop dying (not to mention other things). Rather than make it all over again, is there a site where I can get a midi file that someone else made and shared? Audio file? One that's free. Otherwise I'll just make it again but that'll take a while because I obsess over making it sounds real.

Today I’ve been playing around with granulated Reese basses resampled into sampler and then using gates to create a rhythm. I’m currently midway through the process of chopping up the samples To fit a groove… still a fair way to go haha.
Just thought I’d share as any feedback is more than welcomed :)

Does anyone know a solution for this? Yes I've installed the VST3 version and yes it's saved in the default folder. I've tried rescanning the VST3 folder already.

Hi y’all. Quite new to producing and real new to Ableton Live and Push 3.
I’m having a funny time with the sequencer; I’d love it to record the velocity I tap the grid (top 4 rows) to adjust note velocity but it doesn’t. I kind of found the way of using the 16 velocities layout so I select a velocity then add the note, but it’s not that « lively » so I usually just record them but it’s not what I would like to do. Any ideas to do that ?
TIA

Looking for any insights/pointers.... Have been running Live 9 on a 2012 Macbook for over 10 years. Recently replaced the macbook due to swollen battery....? Am finding that 9 isnt supported with new M2 chips....?
So thinking to just update Live already.... had plenty of surprises with the new machine... (particularly, M4L wont work, a lot of plugin issues...) What teouble am I in for if i go Live 9 -> 12? Anything i should do to prepare?
Currently running Ventura 13. Guessing that should be updated first? Appreciate any other suggestions....
