The original owner set up this crestron system in the house and it works really well. I can control some of the lights through the tps-3000 and I took out another lcd screen from my crestron system but I am gonna put that back. I can also listen to music all over the house as well. The problem I am having is that if I want to clone this pro2 I would have to get the original source code and the original integrator who set up my house passed away. And the company he worked at is not longer... Hello I own a crestron pro2 and it is working well the pass 16 years but i want to clone it in case it ..read more

My problem. I want to automate the light in the "toilet room" in my master bathroom. Most of the day, the ambient light is good to illustrate the area. At night, there is a night light that is bright enough - so you can see. The issue is dusk and dawn. Ambient light and the night light is not bright enough to see in this room. I installed a PIR smart light switch (Kasa Smart WiFi Motion Sensor Switch #KS200M) thinking I could program it to only turn on the light, in the room, at dusk and at... Hi there I was wondering if anyone could help, with this problem please. 1. Have a Pac2M. Controlling all common areas in home however over the last 2 weeks the lights in these areas have been shutting off by themselves. 2. After doing some troubleshooting I was able to get lights on by unplugging 24V power supply to PAC2 or unplugging Cresnet power or pressing SW-R or HW-R buttons or unplugging and plugging back in Lan line not sure what is actually fixing the problem 3. However... Can a Pac2M ever fail ? No Crestron Lights on anymore house dark help please ..read more

I am trying to get access to the software for QS14. I have my file for the property I manage and the program already. My dealer and repair folks are just over a day's worth of travel away, so when I have issues with my Lutron controls, I get stuck without being able to do any in-depth troubleshooting. I have tried to pay for the training and talked to Lutron, and because I am not a dealer, I get shut out. I am not trying to replace my dealer troubleshoot and fix the equipment. The techs do... Alcorn McBride for Home Automation?

Just curious if anyone here has used (or considered using) an Alcorn McBride professional show control unit, like the V4X or V16X, for home automation. I'm senior designer with a Central Florida-based interior design firm focused exclusively on creating themed environments in luxury homes. Most of our projects encompass a fairly high level of tech that we've been automating with either Control 4 or Crestron systems. But we're getting tired of Crestron's ridiculously long lead times for their... Alcorn McBride for Home Automation ..read more

Security Camera/Lighting Suggestions

I have two 110 electrical boxes at each end of the house, mounted to the eaves (i.e., facing the ground). Each has a conventional double spotlight fixture. I want to preserve the ability to control one of the two receptacles in that box manually so a spotlight could be turned on or off independently when needed. The other receptacle would power a security camera, with video distributed via wifi. The spotlight fixture needs to be controlled via a dedicated remote control --- not a phone... Hi, I just purchased a home that was built in 2006. The home was wired with a HAI Smarting lighting that is not working correctly. Looks like all power load is ran into a center point closet and two wires goes to the switch/dimmer at the wall to control the lights. This is the way its wired thru most of the home, which I have never seen this type of wiring done. It's not working well and some buttons doesn't work. There is an AV closet so I'm not sure if there is even a "brain/control... HAI Smart Lighting replacement ..read more

Brilliant vs Google Home: Ceiling Fan Controller

I'm a bit of a fan (pun intended) of Brilliant Smart products. Have loads of the bulbs, power boards etc. I recently bought the Wifi Ceiling Fan Controller. It allows you to convert any AC ceiling fan to a smart device. Including the light (if your fan has one). Note: I did have to move one pin in the connectors to work with my Arlec fan but that was not an issue. So wired up, the fan works as intended with the new remote control. Three fan speeds, light on/off (and dimmable). Connects to... Brilliant vs Google Home: Ceiling Fan Controller ..read more
