To boost fat burning and longevity you want to exercise using knowledge combined from physiology of exercise and of menopause. The best heart rate zone training in menopause is really quite easy. You don't have to test to find it. Know where you first take a deep breath and know that you get to breathlessness in 15-30 seconds and you know just about all you need to know. If you suffer from gaining fat or excess fatigue though, you may be experiencing cardiac drift. You're getting into a zone 3 or no- benefits zone I like to call it. If you're a woman over 40 doing HIIT, there's a good chance you're doing it wrong. Take a look at "HIRT" or high intensity interval repeats. The biggest tips are this: go all out for short bursts of 20-30 seconds or up to a minute recover completely ignore an arbitrary timer telling you to do another repeat The intensity of the interval matters! Your form and technique will be far better so there's less risk of injury! Want low impact high intensity moves?
