The extended Royal Family were among the Guests at the Wedding of Viscount Althorp, the Heir to Earl Spencer, and the Hon. Frances Roche, at Westminster Abbey on this day in 1954, 70 years ago, which was followed by a Reception at St. James’s Palace.

Viscount Althorp, the Heir of Earl Spencer, married the Hon. Frances Roche, daughter of Baron Fermoy, at Westminster Abbey. The couple had four children, including Diana, Princess of Wales, and got divorced in 1969.

Today marks the 210th Anniversary of the Death of Empress Joséphine of the French, who passed away on this day in 1814!
