Fagor Feb-20E Boiler fault

We have a Fagor Feb-20E boiler in our static caravan which keeps showing a fault light. It comes and goes but recently it's becoming much more frequent to the point it won't make it through the day without tripping. The fault code is 7 flashes which according to the manual is the PCB but I sent the board away to be serviced and that hasn't made any difference. The manual lists all the possible fault codes but then it says they relate to the updated board, not the old one (which we have)... Fagor Feb-20E Boiler fault ..read more

Hi, hoping someone can give me some useful advice. Having just moved into a new house, after about a fortnight we noticed the toilet would fill with water when flushed, and then it would very slowly drain. That went on for a few days and then we found water leaking from the back of the toilet at the pipe that goes into the wall. We had someone out who took the toilet off, they jetted the toilet itself, the waste pipe from the toilet and down into the mains as well as the drain in the ground... Hi hoping someone can help, or has experience of this. Months ago there was a sewage gas type smell in the entrance to our road ( We are the second house in) I had the water company out who checked the sewage manhole in road, all ok. Couldn’t open the rainfall one at the top of the road, but did further down and no issues found. Then we discovered the smell was coming from neighbours gutters that go straight into the ground. They put some soda etc down and smell has reduced. Now we... Smell from outside gutters.. and wits end now ..read more

Capping off plastic pipe (feeding a toilet cistern) of an unknown type

Hi I am currently stripping out the bathroom and got to the point I need to remove the old toilet. Bath and sink already removed and copper pipes capped off. I have a problem in that I'm not sure what I need, or can use, ready to cap the pipe immediately after removing the toilet as I think it is an old plastic pipe feeding the flexi for the cistern. There is no isolator on the feed to the toilet, it is a bottom fed close coupled cistern with flexi hose attached, the hose then connects... Wall chasing under a bay window?

Hi! So I have a concrete base floor on my ground floor and the pipes run along the edge of the wall from the floor above which I don't like the look of. I think it's 15 mm pipe, and I will be chasing a ~20 mm cut into the wall to fit plastic piping which I want to run above the skirting boards so that the piping is completely hidden when going into the radiator at 90*. My problem is that I have a bay fronted window right where I want to chase. See photos. Should I be concerned? Are there... Wall chasing under a bay window ..read more
