NEWPORT NEWS — Lionsbridge FC and the D.C. United U23 team played to a 1-1 draw on Wednesday night at TowneBank Stadium. The friendly result moves Lionsbridge's overall record to 8-1-1. D.C. United struck early, scoring in the 6th minute. Lionsbridge responded in the 25th minute when Louis Beckett netted his first goal for the club, assisted by Christian Hatley. The two teams also played to a 1-1 tie almost exactly one year ago to the day. The Bridge used two completely different 11-man lineups in each half except for goalkeeper John Ermini and outshot D.C.
