Detectives are searching for clues in a cold case after a body was found in a wooded area of Riverside County. The victim was identified as Juan Gomez Figueroa by the Riverside Police Department. Figueroa was last seen in late February 2020. He was reported missing several months later in May. Multiple firearms were found in a home in Riverside County after a 12-year-old middle school student allegedly threatened his classmates. Deputies responded to a reported threat at Jurupa Middle School at 3:20 p.m. Thursday, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department. The suspect was identified as Louis Hernandez by the California Highway Patrol. A wind-driven brush fire erupted near the 15 Freeway in Jurupa Valley, prompting officials to close the northbound and southbound lanes Thursday morning. The blaze, dubbed the Landon Fire, was first reported at 5:30 a.m. in the 11000 block of Landon Drive, according to the Riverside County Fire Department. Crews are battling a wildfire that erupted in Jurupa Valley on Wednesday afternoon. The Oak Fire was first reported in the 7100 block of Sierra Avenue around 2:02 p.m. according to the CAL FIRE/Riverside County Fire Department.
