Ferguson man shot accidentally by neighbor, no charges filed

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. – Andre Milton was in the bathroom inside his Ferguson apartment, when a woman in an upstairs unit shot him. Police caught the shooter, but prosecutors declined charges. “I don’t understand why they didn’t get charged, even if it was a so-called accident,” Milton said. Alleged drug pipeline from Mexico to St. Louis uncovered in federal case

ST. LOUIS – A new federal case details an alleged pipeline of illegal drugs (fentanyl, methamphetamine, and cocaine) from Mexico to St. Louis. The case also offers a glimpse of the impact the southern border crisis may be having here. There are 29 defendants spread out among multiple states and Mexico. LOUIS -- St. Louis drivers will tell you it doesn’t take long to find a car with an expired temperature tag out on the road.  Some drivers purchase a vehicle but never pay the required sales taxes to obtain the proper registration and insurance.  Missouri does not currently require drivers to pay the tax at the time of purchase. Last August, the state of Missouri approved a law that allows auto dealers to collect the sales tax at the point of purchase and send that money to the state. ST. LOUIS -- Late afternoon, residents near Chippewa St. and McCausland Ave. were dealing with an issue that's plagued them before. City utility crews got the call at around 4:15 p.m. For a water main break at the intersection. The same pipe burst in August of last year. A 12-inch water main gushed for hours on Thursday. It wasn't the only one, either. ST. LOUIS -- Early Thursday morning, The Whiskey Ring bar had its windows broken, and St. Louis police are investigating the incident. JOPLIN, Mo. (KSNF) — A flight from Joplin, Missouri, to Chicago was diverted early Thursday for a mid-flight medical emergency involving a child. ST. LOUIS -- Around noon today, a man broke through a security gate at St. Louis Lambert Airport using a stolen airport vehicle. He breached the airport operations area before being caught by police.
