An individual was arrested at their residence late Thursday morning after an hour-long standoff with police in San Jose.  Police were serving a search warrant at the residence when the suspect -- who was believed to be armed -- barricaded themselves inside, causing police to close Singleton Road from Verdi Drive to Locke Drive in south San Jose.  A large police response including a SWAT team and multiple heavy vehicles  could be seen in aerial footage from the scene. A man was arrested in Pinole this week after attacking a staff member at the building that houses the Pinole police headquarters in an incident caught on surveillance camera. SOUTH LAKE TAHOE – An investigation is underway after two people died in a plane crash in a mountainous area south of South Lake Tahoe on Wednesday evening, officials said on Thursday. The Alpine County Sheriff's Office said it was notified of an overdue aircraft around 1 a.m. Thursday. The aircraft was plotted in the Willow Creek area near Luther Pass. The Oakland City Council unanimously voted Wednesday to authorize the sale of its share of the Oakland Coliseum to the locally owned African American Sports and Entertainment Group. Milpitas officers arrested a man who allegedly threw an incendiary device through a McDonald's restaurant in the city early Wednesday morning, according to police.  Around 2:40 a.m., Milpitas police were alerted to a reported in-progress arson.
