ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — World War II Veteran and former Rochester City School District teacher Bob "Al" Persichitti died Friday at the age of 102, News 8 has confirmed. Persichitti was selected to go to a D-Day 80th anniversary event in Normandy which was paid for and organized by the National World War II Museum out of New Orleans. He left for Europe early last week, and while on a ship in the North Sea, he suffered a medical condition on Wednesday. ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) - Three people were injured in separate stabbing incidents in Rochester Friday night. Rochester police responded to the 100 block of Parkway at 9:40 p.m. for a reported stabbing. They found a 33-year-old man with a stab wound to the upper body. A second victim, a 58-year-old man, was found nearby in the 100 block of Lorimer St., also stabbed in the upper body.
