Shame
I’m ashamed of my country
for violating its own laws
giving aid to that junta
in Ukraine they installed
Maidan Coup developed by
Victoria Nuland and C.I.A.
to install Banderite Nazi’s
in Ukraine for their own sake
2014 Maidan Coup
Ukraine a victim of our will
to Balkanize Russian Soil
with arms, sanctions and intrusion
upon those eastern walls
shame brought to us by this
support of a corrupt band
strung along for their own song
killing youth, and very old men
illegal by U.S. Code Law
to give support for coup government
yet we of laws and rules gave much

Starliner Dreams

Boeing Starliner
dreams gather dust when shown
to arrange a rocket ship of drones
whereby those amateur designers
meddle in some antique liners
creaking ship on launch stand
begins to show a retro-band
no imagination found
to strengthen ability sound
don’t think we should be poking holes
in our protective ozone layer
yet SpaceX does this without complaint
often causing tornadoes wakes
earth orbit polluted with much trash
a simple direction upon us cast
yet we complain of climate change
while not objecting to this outrage
NASA’s not going far

Honorable Endeavor

Dishonorable
I for one don’t understand
how military service can
stand as honorable
as we’re a deviant land
no honest wars we fought in
no wars have we fought
which weren’t criminal acts
Viet Nam, Afghanistan, Syria
and also Iraq
Libya destabilized Africa
our Hillary did that vile act
result of electing Obama
who our bureaucracy attacked
ISIS we converted
from Arab Spring to killer toads
by financing them to the roof
no honor in that road
Al Jazeera
utilized those agencies
to attack our country’s morals
set us back a hundred years

Thupidity By Leadership
©2024 Bob Atkinson
"... Even if the ass travels to school,
as a horse he won't return ..."
such wanton need of intelligence
devoid of moral ways
these so called elite leaders
get pushed up to center stage
Battle of Borodino
stage of Napoleanic blunders
so strange in their discourse
as to downgrade our species
to below a monkey’s course
I’m so sorry to the future
for my softness of tone
when describing thupidity
of zealots as they roam
create an enemy to fight
where no enemy was there
push, shove their influence
to places never theirs

Empathy Omitted
©2024 Bob Atkinson
Empathy
perhaps we’ve jumped ahead
of ourselves in self denial
who could see disaster
purely made in our own trials
Violence
we’ve not qualified
our leaders of this land
do they express empathy
for people of other lands
NGO's Do Regime Changes
or do they wish more power
NGO’s function for that thought
pushing dregs of humanity
to take over lands of crops
we feel we’ve standing in
this world of strange events
yet truth be told we’re outcasts
pushing people down to distress
a militant being loving those
thoughts of wars we fight
as if this an honorable end ..read more

Antisocial Personality Disorder

Rafah Tent Killing
as I’ve said before
“… those who kill in the name of
THEIR God are godless misfits ….”
blasphemy to claim one’s god
as the One and True God
when that only applies to
their own scriptures
Antisocial Personality Disorder
gods come in many forms
but in truth, no matter which god
the deity has the same omnipotent source
Baby Killers
so to kill in the name of one’s god
represents pure evil as it's
killing in the name of all gods
something only a misfit would do
Al Jazeera
the world cries out in pain
pain of evil deeds ..read more

Solyent Green
progression of those seudo-intellectuals
who wish to change this world
from an evolution’s thrust
to a flag unfurled
unfurled in the name of one
world government controlled
by those who think without their brains
no banter in their soul
so far they’ve done this very well
media, governments awash
with their dogma of climate change
and other astute hogwash
like science can fix anything
when science’s a major blame
teetering our globe with dust
of SpaceX’s tall thin frames
I feel we’ve never been before
challenged by ourselves

Corruption in Government
©2024 Bob Atkinson
of course this book ignored
adamant our reps became upset
when the fellow arrested those
who took bribes because of office
something our reps oppose
Senators, Congressmen
Presidents, bureaucrats
sent to jail for theft from government
wouldn’t stand assessment
a country with glorious past
which started criminal wars of nonsense
which doesn’t know morality
pushing our own sentiment
Morality
ignoring laws with fluid rules
we change as time goes by
to suit our whims with conviction
cover for our lies
our system built on kickbacks
using Kickbackistan ..read more

Moon Phased

Moon Phases
as a child with telescope
I saw up close this thing
round with dips on surface
so silent had no ring
a large round bright object
with unreal existence told
some things we don’t understand
must have been quite cold and old
people affected by this mass
their tears wiped from face
by an object not understood
yet surface held a place
“… does the man in the moon have dimples
and does he smile like you ….”
grandmother wrote in her diary
for us all to become amused
don’t know why this ball of dust
has such an affect upon us all
just assumed we’re ..read more

Double Nickel Dodge
©2024 Bob Atkinson
1955 Dodge
a baby blue machine
brought back those memories
imprinted in my mind
of a child’s early times
not a full Royale
base model, not much chrome
wrecked once on side
turning in front of someone
she was thrown outside
in her party dress
face scraped on pavement
beyond that no distress
one ten on ninety-nine
through the Baker’s Field palm trees
flying over pavement
filling emotional needs
as children we’re not complex
certain things we desire
and now in twilight years
softness gains in power
as if we’re back in time
to guide ourselves toward suc ..read more
