This bookcase image is one of my favourite graphics on-site.
It’s not only a great way to track what you’ve covered (as it’s used in the 10-year pack) but it’s also a great stand-alone colouring page.
I’ve provided the image here with just the books to colour, and another with the whole thing blank.

This game features in the Persistent Widow Lesson pack.
It involves laying the tiles down in such a way as to form a continuous looping pathway. It can also be played competitively with two players. Each player needs a whole set of the tiles so two sets are provided in different colours.

The story of the thankful leper lends itself well to group activities. These games play with ideas in the passage found in Luke 17.
How Many “Thank You”s? – Print the game by clicking on the image and downloading the file. Start with 10 people/counters and use a dice to move your crowd from Jesus to the priest and back again. Lose one or more every time you land on a space with writing! How many of your crowd of 10 can make it back to Jesus to say thank you? If you lose all your people you are out of the game!

Essential Teachers notes:
This passage holds a very straightforward message of thankfulness. Jesus did not heal for the praise but showing gratitude is a skill we should all aim to model and foster in the youngsters in our care.

Essential Teachers notes:
This parable, often called the Lost sheep, is one that’s hugely quoted an a staple of Christian symbolism. It’s a fabulous passage because it shows us not only that Jesus will rescue us no matter how far we have wandered but that Jesus recognised the religious leaders faith in that he knew they did not need his help in the same way the fallen did.

The story of Lydia, a woman who sold purple cloth and was the first European convert, is a small passage signifying great meaning and huge step forward for the church. These games play with ideas in the passage, Lydia’s actions and character traits.
Sailing Destination – Grab a parachute. The aim is to get all the boats through the hole in the parachute apart from the one Paul is on. For boats, use table tennis balls or tennis balls. Make sure one ball is a different colour or mark it with tape.
