The HEAT Inc. (as it shall be known) is/are/exists all over the radio this month. I’ve almost given up trying to keep track of it and would, were it not for the good souls that deign to make this possible. In addition, the smallest member of our household appears to enjoy dancing to my noise. Blessings = 2. Of course, the biggest news from last week is that that ever since the first person laid eyes on BOTW, this has kinda been inevitable. If the wild area from Sword and Shield wasn’t enough of a hint as to where they might take dem ‘mons next, that trailer should serve to allay any lingering ..read more

Wednesdays are not a normal day for us. However. There was a query as to Where The Front door this year’s AMST has got to and there are some great questions in our inbox and I have answers to some of them. As for the rest…2020? In addition, there was that interview with Trebuchet magazine a short span back and that seemed to pin down a number of monkeys. As an added bonus, I tried to read part of it again and I didn’t immediately hate myself…but I can wait. Anyhow, the point is, that I started looking for the poop - what else I had missed or failed to head off in the murk of one year melding i ..read more

Have you seen a TV Licensing letter in the last decade? The language inside suggests that you might want to call your lawyer and if it were anyone else - anyone worth the time - I would. The last time this happened, I did. Imagine if this were any other utility company? A cease and desist is a remedy. We don’t watch “TV” as such, in our house. I mean, we stream but from what I can gather, we don’t require a licence, nor should we. The only people I can think of who still subscribe to this bullshit are both over sixty and both of them are my parents. Naturally, if we want to watch the one progr ..read more

Yeah, I know I’m late but we were celebrating V Day and preparations kinda got away from me. At least, that’s what I think happened. It could also be the case that I was just too busy observing ‘70s rock crowds and suffering from the most severe case of the melancholies. That and lying around the living room like a cat of sorts, which I’m not but well…you never know. I did listen to the Vice Games Reset round-table about VG preservation and it struck any number of resonant chords. Apparently it’s on TV in France which might be weird but if you see it there, do let us know? I also discovered th ..read more

Where did we land on the whole Gamestop stock short stocks story? Is it squeezed yet? Did we squeeze? I feel like I’d have liked to at least been involved but I’m struggling to find an app I trust, let alone a company. How do I trade these monsters? That the quiver is not to be trusted could not be funnier, nor more predictable but myth might need to say otherwise in seven-hundred years from now. That’s how it works. At some point, we need to return to normality and lies because there’s been an amnesty of late, if you’d believe that. look, I’m not going to be the one to tell you to take as gos ..read more

One person I spoke to, has compared it to that of awaking from a coma but I think there needs to be a better definition or at least a clarification of sorts - one that acknowledges the thoroughly conscious nature of our experience - and I’m prepared to suggest the following: The past four years have been less like being in a coma and more like being encased in carbonite, fully aware of the foggy passage of time and indeed, in simultaneous, inextricable agony for the duration. I can speak to fugue states, having just emerged from one, following our most recent Move and this wasn’t that. This wa ..read more

2021 might be a number that reoccurs throughout history but if that’s the case - and it might be - then I can’t find any evidence of it. We must assume that there have been that many sweets and/or bees in a jar, at some point? It might well be the number given to this “year” by the relatively late Pope Gregory The Thirteenth but we’ve already lost Gerry Marsden to it so, you know, Gregory can do one. I guess. It’s still raw and I’m wading through vinyl, with nary a hat in which to stick a fucking pin. Writing has been hard. Very. The environment does not allow for it and you can take that with ..read more

Normally, this is the one place in the calendar cycle where we do a list type thing. It’s also the place where I look back and say gee, golly, wow and whatnot about what’er has passed before and we all look at it and say gee, golly and wow. It’s a “letter from the editor” and simultaneous death by SEO which again, normally, would almost be a fun time? But what a mess. I could go into vivid detail as to the cellular makeup of our current trials and tribulations but A. There is already a very good thing on Narthfolks, wherein it is shown the ways in which any possible fiction could not possibly ..read more

We move. We are moving. We have moved. Kind of. I can conjugate the verb, even if I despise it with every bone in my feral being but it doesn’t make it any easier and accordingly, it makes none of it any less arduous. Nevertheless, we are within touching distance of the light at the end of the tunnel and there has been respite along the way, some of it in the form of long-awaited media gold. We should pay homage to those Northern Lights and also that Mandolorian, quibbles aside. Elsewhere, there is recognition for longstanding excellence in character. It is an age to be lived in, regardless of ..read more

People are playing the Cyberpunk and they are telling other people about it now and there are…bugs? My stance on that game remains unchanged: I have other simulations with which to engage at the present moment in time - moving house is a simulation of sorts, albeit one that would appear to be impossible from which to wake - and I shall ride out these early days in the comforting, aromatic arms of crusaders whom might also be kings. Things do feel a bit “much” right now and that game has both politics and menus that promise to keep me under for an amount of time. Truth be told, I have candles a ..read more
