When Angels Cry by MaryLu Tyndall
Henry Happens and other tales of life in the wilderness

When Angels Cry is a fascinating read, but not for the faint of heart. It is a fictional tale set in the near future. Most of the story revolves around Angelica Smokes and her former boyfriend Pastor Daniel Cain. There is quite a bit about spiritual warfare with angels and demons. This book kept me reading and intrigued. Well worth reading. I am looking forward to reading book 2, When Angels Battle. All 3 books in the series are available on Kindle Unlimited.  I recommend you set some time aside to focus on the story without interruption.  All thoughts are my own. From Am ..read more

Untaken, Too, continues Sarah's story from Untaken. this book covers what the first 12 days after the Rapture might be like. although I don't really like Sarah I found myself rooting for her to discover the truth. This is a book that really makes you think. I suggest you read this book with an open mind and have a copy of the bible at hand to compare. All thoughts are my own. If you need a copy of the bible go to the You version app. The Rapture has happened. What would you do?  I really enjoyed While The City Sleeps. It was an interesting tale of New York city in 1913. Katherine is a lady dentist and Jonathon a NYC cop. I loved the plot that was full of twists and suspense. Faith was a vital element to the story. The setting was very interesting to read about. I highly recommend While the City Sleeps and I look forward to reading the next book in the series. So settle into a comfy chair with a cup of tea and enjoy a great read. I was given a copy of While The City Sleeps with no expectations. All thoughts are my own. From Amazon: Amid the hushed city, two ..read more

Mary Vee is a new to me author. I really enjoyed reading They Whisper About Us. It is a story of a young woman discovering faith behind the Iron Curtain in  the 1960s and also a tale of a young woman looking for her faith in modern England. I look forward to reading more books by Mary Vee. So make some Russian tea and settle back to read a good book! All thoughts are my own.  From Amazon: A tea tin. Owned by one girl, Found by another, Over half a century later. What mysteries does it hide? An intriguing split time-line story, alternating between Leningrad in 1960's a ..read more

The Maid Of Ballymacool by Jennifer Deibel should be read over a long weekend with pots of tea, snacks, a comfy chair and a cozy blanket. The story is exquisite and the characters, setting and plot are fantastic. I love this story and highly recommend it. In fact it will most likely be on my top ten list for the year. I was not asked to review this book and all thoughts are my own. From Amazon: Brianna Kelly was abandoned at Ballymacool House and Boarding School as an infant. She has worked there since she was a wee girl and will likely die there. Despite a s ..read more

I enjoyed If The Boot Fits so much that I used some PTO and left work at noon to go home and read. Karen Witemeyer wrote a very good story loosely based on Cinderella with Asher being the male version of Cinderella and Samantha the princess. The characters were strong and endearing, the plot delightful and the characters faith was strong. I highly recommend If The Boot fits to all who love Happily Ever After Stories. So grab your favorite beverage and settle in for a fantastic read. I was given a copy of If The Boot Fits with no expectations. All thoughts are my own. link to buy a copy of ..read more

Untaken by C.O. Wylie

I just finished reading Untaken by C.O. Wyler. I found it to be a very interesting book on the rapture. Told from the first person viewpoint Untaken follows a young woman named Sarah as she struggles to comprehend what has happened. At times the narrative is a bit grotesque, but necessary to convey the horror of being left behind. It is a quick, but tough read. Untaken is free on kindle. I read the free kindle version. All thoughts are my own. Here is the link to your free copy of Untaken: https://www.amazon.com/Untaken-12-Hours-Following-Rapture-ebook/dp/B077GFQM1Y/?_encoding=UTF8 ..read more

Everyone in Gossamer Falls has a story. Never Fall Again is Cal and Landry's tale. I loved the way they tried to deny their feelings for each other. The romance was sweet but not over done. I also enjoyed the suspense element. I was impressed with the way Ms. Blackburn created a faith journey that included having her characters pray together. All in all a great book. I am looking forward to reading book 2 in the Gossamer Falls series. I really want to know the other peoples stories! This book calls for a pitcher of sweet tea and a porch swing! I was given a copy of Never Fall Again w ..read more

I always look forward to reading Dani Pettrey's books. She does a fantastic job of creating characters that are realistic and fun to read about. I love the way she weaves together faith, romance and suspense into a story that keeps you turning the pages way after bedtime. Her latest book, One Wrong Move, is a great kick off to her Jeopardy Falls series. The story is fast paced and while complete, it definitely opens the door to further books. So brew up a pitcher of tea, turn off your phone and enjoy Dani's latest adventure. I was given a copy of One Wrong Move with no expectations ..read more

I loved the action and of course the dog was awesome. I enjoyed the way  Foxtrot and Crew tried to deny their growing romance. This was my first book by Ronie Kendig, but it won't be the last.
