I wasn’t born in Alberta, but I have lived here for many years and am still transfixed by it’s landscapes. Last summer, a friend and I travelled outside of the city with the intention of finding some open spaces and big skies. Curiosity led us to the top of a grassy hill and we discovered some train tracks that were otherwise hidden from view. One of my most common and vivid daydreams has been to grow a thriving and happy front yard vegetable garden! This season, I’ve made plans to construct a raised garden bed to hopefully expand upon my harvesting ambitions.
