From the 2nd November we’ll be returning to our ongoing theme of Antipodean Art and Artists. We’re proud to welcome Davenwolf Dagger through our doors to amaze you with his versatility as he exhibits his work in two parts. SaveMe Oh’s charging horses, disembodied dancing dresses and blinding light show faded into distant memory and the art gallery walls became visible once more as Fuschia’s opening party came to a close. I’m sure that I heard Fuschia say she was leaving after her last guests disappeared and the gallery fell quiet. The security cameras recorded an early visitor to the Lane’s gallery today, busily casing the joint. Fuschia Nightfire was apparently engaged in weighing up the options for her installation “Fuschia Nightfire Returns” that arrives this coming weekend. Due to commence on Saturday 5th for the remainder of October, the exhibition starts at 10 pm UK time ( 2pm SLT ) with a two hour bash hosted by Fuschia and with music provided by Pepper Chaffe Furze. The problem with watercolours is that they can let the white of the paper show through the paint. The solution of an increased opacity for watercolour, was developed in France in 1882 and given the name gouache. Today the term in English usage describes both the paint (the medium) and the method of painting. Sheba was to be found, shaking her stuff, at the opening party of her exhibition last Saturday afternoon & night/Sunday morning, depending where in the world you live. She was joined by Lollies and newcomers in two hours of fun, dancing to the excellent sounds provided by Pepper Chaffe Furse. It was great to see the creaking gallery’s walls threatening to cave in again, with old and new faces enjoying themselves as they strutted their thing.
