There’s a newly opened dining destination located along Gold Street, San Raphael Village, Brgy. 9-A, Davao City that is attracting more and more customers since its opening – Misha’s Halal Diner, a restaurant and cafe in one. From the name itself, you can tell that it is friendly to non-pork eaters. But, of course, the place can actually be anybody’s favorite, considering the great selections from their menu list. Right before the bridge going to Ma-a, on the left side of the road, there you can find this rather humble place.  From the sidewalk, you just take a few steps, and you are alre ..read more

Fioboc Clothing – comfort, quality, right fit, aesthetics, function, and sustainability – all in one brand. Fioboc Clothing – game changer, setting the bar high. Avid readers, hear me out – One of the things on top of my mind every time I travel is the type of clothes I wear. Most of the time, my top choices have the following characteristics – they should be breathable, comfortable, and ideal for warm and humid places such as my country, the Philippines. In addition to that, I prefer a type of clothing that is easy to pack and carry around. While there are plenty of clothing brands you can ..read more

Samal Blu Experience (An Overnight Stay)

A few weeks back, my friends and I had a year-end gathering (a tradition we started about a decade ago), and we chose Samal Blu for the venue – a private by-the-beach resort in Brgy. Limao in Samal. Here’s a map going to the resort. We booked this place for an exclusive overnight stay for 17,000 pesos. And just like some places we booked in the past, it also had some things that did not meet my expectations. Such things may help you decide whether to book the place or not. Let’s start with the things that I liked about the resort: It’s spacious; the common area, which included the dining and ..read more

My Scariest ‘Paranormal’ Experience in a Travel Accommodation

If you have been following me for a while now, you already know that I travel solo, and, in this post, I want to share my scariest, paranormal, so to speak, solo travel experience. I visited Tacloban to feature the city for my travel blog in 2018. While my experience visiting attractions was great, the accommodation I booked was a different story. At first, I thought it was a great find because this room, which I booked online, was pretty decent yet affordable – less than 1,000 pesos a night. I hadn’t considered its location, though I was aware it was near the Robinsons Mall. It was a few kilo ..read more

Amid a lush greenery within the highland Barangay of Eden in Toril, Davao City, lies a paradise – The Red Barn Davao. This hidden gem has been increasingly attracting visitors seeking a tranquil escape from the city noise. What was once a family farm is now accessible to the public, allowing everyone to savor its unique charm. My personal experience with The Red Barn Davao came about through a gracious invitation from the owner. During an overnight stay, I had ample time to explore every corner of the farm, leaving me with a desire to return again and again. We will have a virtual tour of this ..read more

Three-Day Cotabato City + Pigcawayan Vacation – Places I Visited

I visited Cotabato City expecting nothing. Well, what I mean is I expected it to be a fun vacation, but nothing specific. One reason for that was I wanted to surprise myself, so I did not do any research; another reason was that my friend, the person touring me around the city, did not give specifics for our itinerary. We scheduled to depart at 2 PM, but that did not happen. We were able to leave at 5 PM already. And I was a bit worried as we had to pass by several provinces that were yet to be reached by the full benefit of modernization. For some reason, I wished we got there earlier. But we ..read more
