Every so often Zentangle Inc. comes out with a Project Pack and it's usually something new to learn and for CZT's to share with their students.  Project Pack 5 was released in March and the videos were released starting April 12th-19th, one each day. Project Pack 5 has us learning about Cartouches! Per their newsletter: A cartouche is a decorative frame surrounding an image or an inscription. It also refers to the oblong figure that encloses a sovereign's name on ancient Egyptian monuments. ValenTangle is a 14 day journey to explore heart tangles, create art, connect, and generate love. It was created 4 years ago by Marguerite Samama, CZT.  She wrote a great pdf file for use to follow each day, created a love fragment, and a Facebook group for us to post our work in. For this week's challenge the DIVA is asking us to try the new official tangle, Ratoon.  This tangle was introduced at ZenAgain2018 so I had the pleasure of learning it directly from Molly (the creator). It's a fun tangle with a lot of steps, but once you practice it several times it gets easier.  What I like about it is how you can continue to vary it each time.   Fun with Ratoon.........
