Taking down 184 meters of chimney 29. March 2021 We have now commenced the final task in our year-long effort to demolish and recycle one of Denmark’s biggest coal-fired power plants, Enstedværket in Aabenraa. Only the 184 meters high chimney is still standing, but not for long. During the upcoming months we will dismantle the chimney bit by bit, starting with the inner steel pipe, which will be cut up in sections, appropriate for shipping and recycling. Expanding in Aabenraa During the past months we have been working diligently at expanding our activities at Aabenraa Harbour. As our task of demolishing and recycling the condemned power plant, Enstedværket, is nearing its end, more and more space is freed up for new industry.
