The beginning of spring has come to my little corner of the planet and with it a perfusion of bright and cheerful daffodils. As soon as Valentines’s Day is over and I see the first robin of spring searching for worms on my back lawn, I know it’s time to rake up winter debris from the garden beds. It was a last minute decision to go to the movies on a Thursday night, but maybe I needed the distraction. It has been hard for me to focus on the joys of Christmas this year with all that’s going on. The world situation is insane. The Russians are fighting the Ukrainians.
