Could Bobby Miller Force Dodgers to Use a 6-Man Rotation?
Dodgers Nation
by Kevin Skinner

The Dodgers starting rotation has excelled this season and has done so without one of its most promising arms. Young right-hander Bobby Miller has not made a start since April 10 after being placed on the injured list with shoulder inflammation. Miller made a minor league rehab start Saturday with Class-A Rancho Cucamonga. Afterward, he shrugged off a mid-game velocity drop, and essentially counted the game as a box checked off his rehab to-do list. The Dodgers will need to look at their rotation to make room for Miller. Walker Buehler’s recent return has filled the rotation with quality opti ..read more

A former Dodgers minor league outfielder is back in Major League Baseball — and in a pretty nice situation. David Dahl, who spent part of the 2023 season with the Dodgers’ Triple-A affiliate, has been selected by the Philadelphia Phillies ahead of their Monday game against the Milwaukee Brewers. Prior to tonight’s game against the Milwaukee Brewers, the Phillies announced the following roster moves: Placed outfielder Brandon Marsh on the 10-day injured list with a right hamstring strain Selected the contract of outfielder David Dahl from triple-A Lehigh Valley… — Philadelphia Phillies (@P ..read more

Should the Dodgers Consider This Blockbuster Trade to Land Bo Bichette?
Dodgers Nation
by Noah Camras

The Los Angeles Dodgers will likely be active this trade deadline as they look to shore up their lineup depth. The Dodgers’ bottom of the lineup has been by far the team’s biggest disappointment, and they should look to address that issue before the second half of the season. The Dodgers could look to add a platoon or fringe depth player to shore up the edges. Or, they could go big, and look to add an All-Star who will provide a massive impact on a team with World Series aspirations. If they go with the latter, there may be no better team to talk to than the Toronto Blue Jays. The Blue Jays a ..read more

Dodgers Teammate Key to Mookie Betts’ Ascension at Shortstop
Dodgers Nation

While Miguel Rojas hasn’t played every game, he has been putting in the work for hours on end. He has also been key in the ascent of Mookie Betts as the Los Angeles Dodgers everyday shortstop. “(Rojas) has made the process tough, but fun,” Betts told the Los Angeles Times. “When you have a resource like that, it makes things a little bit easier.” Rojas’ hard work hasn’t gone unnoticed. Dodgers third base coach Dino Ebel is extremely appreciative of having another set of hands working with Betts, Gavin Lux, and Max Muncy turning them into one of the best infield units in baseball. The Dodgers picked up a needed series win against the NL West cellar-dwellers in advance of their East Coast road trip beginning Tuesday. The Los Angeles Dodgers scored just enough on Saturday to beat the Colorado Rockies 4-1. The key to the victory was Yoshinobu Yamamoto who got through six innings while giving up one run and seven hits. He struck out seven and walked one to improve to 6-2 with a 3.32 ERA in 12 starts. The starting pitching has been the bright spot for the Dodgers, who were recently on a five-game losing streak. Outfielder Teoscar Hernández told Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times that the starting pitchers have kept the team in ballgames. “The starting pitchers are dealing right now, keeping us in the ga ..read more

Dodgers’ Dave Roberts On Clayton Kershaw: ‘We’re Way Ahead of Schedule’
Dodgers Nation

The Los Angeles Dodgers were pleasantly surprised with Clayton Kershaw’s simulated inning at Dodger Stadium on Saturday afternoon. Kershaw threw 20 pitches to Chris Taylor, Austin Barnes, and No. 10 prospect Kendall George, who made the trip from Single-A Rancho Cucamonga. His four-seam fastball touched 88 mph, according to manager Dave Roberts. Kershaw is “way ahead of schedule”  in his recovery from left shoulder surgery and is estimated to return to full strength in about six weeks. That would have Kershaw rejoining the Dodgers right around the All-Star break. We got some ..read more

While the Los Angeles Dodgers revealed exciting news about starting pitcher Clayton Kershaw’s recovery from offseason surgery, there was some unfortunate news regarding infielder Max Muncy. Muncy told Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times that he felt a “twinge” in his rib cage about seven-to-10 days ago while swinging a bat in Ariz., and has been shut down from all baseball activities. Muncy was disappointed, saying there was no timetable for return at this point. “Not sure frustrating even describes how I feel right now,” Muncy said. #Dodgers 3B Max Muncy said he felt a “twinge” in rib ..read more

The Los Angeles Dodgers have looked like a broken team through their last 10 games, losing six of them. The only time they appeared to be clicking one through nine was for the three-game sweep of the Mets in New York. They snapped their five-game losing streak on Wednesday with a doubleheader sweep and scored 10 runs for the first time since May 14 in the nightcap. However, the offensive outburst was backloaded. They scored six runs in the eighth inning. Everything appeared to be on the upswing until the team returned home and dropped a 4-1 decision to the Colorado Rockies on Friday. The inco ..read more

The Seattle Mariners fired bench coach and offensive coordinator Brant Brown before their series opener against the Los Angeles Angels, the team announced Friday afternoon. Despite sitting in first place in the American League East, the Mariners haven’t lived up to their expectations at the plate and are hoping that a change will do them some good. Brown was brought in after a successful 2023 season with the Miami Marlins but the Mariners entered Friday leading baseball with 594 strikeouts through their first 58 games, which puts them on pace to break MLB’s single-season record set last ..read more
