Turkish heavy-duty vehicle spare parts company Sampa celebrated its 30th anniversary at the Automechanika Istanbul tradeshow.
At the event held at TUYAP Istanbul Fair and Congress Center, visitors were greeted in person by senior managers. The latest U.S. Bank Freight Payment Index revealed the U.S. truck freight market contracted significantly during the first three months of 2024. Spending by shippers decreased 27.9% in the first quarter compared with the same period in 2023 and was down 16.8% compared to the fourth quarter of 2023. Meanwhile, U.S. Bank tells us shipments dropped 21.6% y/y and 7.8% from the fourth quarter of 2023.

Isuzu Commercial Truck of America announced the development of an all-electric Isuzu NRR EV truck integrated with the Thermo King e300 all-electric transport refrigeration unit (TRU) during the Advanced Clean Transportation Expo (ACT).
Isuzu’s Class 5 NRR EV was announced in March 2023 and is planned for production this summer.
