When Google released the big December update for Pixel devices last week, they only announced a single build number for all supported phones, foldables, and tablets. We assumed that meant they were down to a single build for this update rather than various builds depending on carrier. Google pushed out a new Android 14 QPR2 Beta update this week as Beta 2. This new update is available immediately for all still-supported Pixel devices from the Pixel 5a up through the new Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro. The update could be minor, but is labeled as a full jump from Beta 1 to Beta 2. Google hasn’t provided any mention of new features, leaving us in the dark as usual. It is a big day in the world of Android, as a new month is here and that means new updates for Google’s Pixel line of devices. This also marks an important month for the new Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro, with the November Android update being the first for these phones.
