I first heard about this book on social media and I didn’t hesitate to get it as offense is one thing I believe many of us struggle with. So often when people drop offenses along our way , we pick them up and consume it which then contaminates our life. If you have been asking, how do I deal with offense? Or what to do when people offend you? Or how to overcome the spirit of offense. Or how to stop picking offenses. This is a book that will be highly beneficial to you. The book is The Bait of Satan by John Bevere. it was first written about 20years ago. Look up the Bait of satan . It is availa ..read more

But you, man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness. Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses.” – 1 Timothy 6:11-12, NIV One thing I have learnt is life as a believer is a fight. We fight to walk in the victory Christ made available for us at the cross. We fight to keep the devil out of our minds. We fight to stay consistent in God’s word against all odds. The difference in this battle is we do not fight to win. We ..read more

How to pray result-orientated prayers

There is a prayer aligned with God’s will and there is a prayer fueled by panic. Many times we pray, we are so consumed with what we have seen heard , what we are feeling and experiencing that our prayers are filled with asking for what is outside God’s will because your flesh is controlling your heart and words. Your business is about to crash and you start panic praying instead of asking what God wants. We may sweat, cry, groan, labour for hours in such prayers but they are mostly carnal. and not touching the right things. It is true a form of relief may come because the presence of God remo ..read more

Lamp to my feet, light to my path

When the devil wants to assault you, he tries to switch off your light first to sink you into a dark place. He does this by sending distractions your way to break your word study. For your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. When the Word of God penetrates into our hearts, we are flooded with LighT. Anyone who walks without light will stumble in the dark. It is easier to see and remove obstacles in a lighted room than a dark room. Before a person falls into confusion, depression, disorder, deception, and all forms of darkness, first the Word of God is stolen from the heart. I pra ..read more

”The godly may trip seven times, but they will get up again. But one disaster is enough to overthrow the wicked.“ ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭24‬:‭16‬ ‭NLT‬‬ https://bible.com/bible/116/pro.24.16.NLT Success for believers isn’t our ability to never have downtimes but how quickly we can get up when we fall. Let’s say you are to get from point A to G and at point C, you fall into the valleyof discouragement from unmet expectations, feelings of unworthiness from failed relationships, past mistakes and rejections, you are to get up and continue your journey not sit and wallow in self pity. Jesus told Peter, sa ..read more

Trusting God when it hurts
Musings & Roses

I have learned to trust God in all seasons. I have found out that trusting God is better than trusting my pain or confusion. I learned Not to lean into my own understanding. God doesn’t break His word. If He has said it, He will do it. Just not in my time or my way. God wants us to rest in Him and not to move around frantic about tomorrow trying to control outcomes, begging people He hasn’t ordained to go on the journey with us. Forcing ourselves into spaces He didn’t cut out for us. Thinking people who left is the best we can get. What is faith? Faith is blind trust. Absolute trust in God’s w ..read more

Blessed are the poor in Spirit

““Blessed [spiritually prosperous, happy, to be admired] are the poor in spirit [those devoid of spiritual arrogance, those who regard themselves as insignificant], for theirs is the kingdom of heaven [both now and forever].” ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭5:3‬ ‭AMP‬‬ it is interesting how Jesus starts His sermon with the beatitudes because once it becomes a part of us, other commands will fall in place. To be poor in Spirit is the brokenness of Spirit. It is the realization that we are in desperate need of a saviour and cannot do life alone. When we are poor in spirit, we become babies in the hand of God. We ar ..read more

God’ will?
Musings & Roses
by Musings&Roses

In all things, give thanks for this is the will of God for you. This scripture has been misinterpreted to mean that everything that happens to us, good or bad is God’s will. This is wrong. it is not God’s will that our bodies get afflicted, that we lose loved untimely(except those He calls) or experience sorrow. When the leprous man told Jesus, You have the power to make me well, if you will, Jesus responded, I will. In another verse John prayed, I willeth above all things that you prosper, be in health even as your soul prospers. This is God’s will for us. It is interesting how our idea of Go ..read more
