New Delhi: Vistara, a 51/49 joint venture between Tata Sons and Singapore Airlines Group, announced that it will be launching London as their first long destination using the Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft. This announcement comes after the recent air bubble travel agreement between India and the United Kingdom, where Vistara will be operating three weekly flights between New Delhi (DEL) and London Heathrow (LHR) starting from 28 August 2020 to 30 September 2020.

On 29 October 2018 a LionAir Boeing 737MAX registered PK-LQP crashed 11 minutes after take-off in the Indonesian sea. Today, exactly 30 days after the accident, the Indonesian Authorities “KNKT” declared the aircraft to be “not airworthy”. Today marks the end of an era as British Airways (BA) retired the Boeing 767 type from its fleet with last revenue flight operated yesterday using Boeing 767-336(ER) registered as G-BZHA, which departed from London Heathrow on Sunday, 25 November 2018 at 12:20 (GMT) BA662 to Larnaca, Cyprus and returned to London Heathrow on the same day as BA663 at 22:40 (GMT). On the 11th of December 2019, Delta Air Lines invited YourAviation LLC for a presentation of their newest cabin product. The new cabin is flying with the Boeing 767-400 of the airline. The global, US based carrier, has three planes departing every minute somewhere in the world. The refurbished cabin is due to offer a better product on the older 767.

Today’s SWISS flight LX359 between London Heathrow (LHR) and Geneva (GVA) had to do an unscheduled landing in Paris Charles-de-Gaulle (CDG) following some engine issues. As this is the third incident with the A220 engine within three months, SWISS has taken the right decision to ground their entire fleet of 29 Airbus A220 as of today.
