We were thrilled to be asked if we’d like to pop to Sudeley Castle to see the Elephant Family. Firstly thank you very much Sudeley for our tickets, we had a fantastic day! The elephant family are at Sudeley Castle and gardens until the 6th of June 2021 and tickets must be booked online. There over 30 enormous, life-sized elephant sculptures form a trail through the gardens. We took a picnic and also visited the huge play park. It was fantastic fun, and I must say we all enjoyed the maze and as it was a warm day, the girls really could have played around the fountain all day! Though they did lo ..read more

Robinswood Hill Country Park, Gloucester | Fun family walks near Cheltenham

If you’re local to Cheltenham, Gloucester or somewhere near by, Robinswood Hill Country Park is a lovely location for a walk. There are sheep for the kids to play on, picnic benches and open spaces for picnics. The views are lovely, and there is even a free car park, toilets and cafe. It’s pretty ideal really, although I don’t know of a path which is ideal for toddlers to walk to the top, as the ones I have been on are steep and not all will cope with them, or 1-2 hour walks. So I’d definitely advise a toddler carrier. This week we enjoyed a lovely snack time at the top while watching the view ..read more

Since lockdown eased we’ve used our annual passes to Westonbirt Arboretum twice. Both visits to Westonbirt have been perfect, socially distanced days out. Relaxing, well planned and very family friendly. We already had annual memberships to Westonbirt and have visited many many times, so it is without a doubt definitely somewhere I would recommend for a fun family day out with kids, even though it is around 40-50 minutes drive from Cheltenham. Our kids love taking their scooters as there are endless paths for them to scoot freely on and as social distancing and numbers are well limited, this i ..read more
