Tim Bei and brew partner Jack Fuller let us inside their brewing process to give us a peak at how they brew. Give these guys a follow and watch their journey from amateur homebrewers to professional brewers! Where do you live & brew? I live in Rushden, a small town in the UK. I brew with a whole team of beer enthusiasts and you can usually find us round each other’s homes, brewing and bottling. What was your first brew day like? Our first brew day was LOOOOOONG! We did a Woodforde’s Buregold extract kit. We watched a ton of videos online to make sure we didn’t do anything wrong. I remem ..read more

Hey there fellow homebrewers and beer lovers! Every week I search the web for the best new homebrew and craft beer resources. You never know what bit of info might take your beers to the next level. 1. Brewing with Kveik Part 1 – Norway’s Gift to the World "There are hundreds of yeast strains commercially available to homebrewers and even more to professional brewers, so what makes kveik unique? Simply put it can ferment at crazy high temperatures (roughly 70−100 °F/21−38 °C) without producing detectable levels of phenols or throwing off a lot of harsh fusels." Kveik is blowing up and I can't ..read more

Note from Benjamin @ Homebrewsy: This is a special guest post from Andrew at Basewerks Brewing. Thanks Andrew! A keg & carboy washer is an easy and inexpensive DIY homebrew essential for anyone that kegs their homebrew or uses narrow neck carboys. Imagine - no more scrubbing or disassembling kegs to clean them! No more ineffective scrubbing brush inside the carboy! No risk of scratches from that scrubbing giving bacteria a place to hide! The more I brew, the more time I spend cleaning and sanitizing. It’s a key part of the brewing process, but I’ve started to look for ways to avoid manu ..read more

If you're reading this then I'm assuming two things: 1. You want to learn to brew, but don't know where to start. You also don't know how much this brewing thing is going to cost. Don't worry, we'll get to that.  It's not as much as you'd think and you can get started with as little as ~$13. 2. You've got absolutely no experience homebrewing (or close to none). You don't need to know anything about brewing for this article to help get you going! These tips may still be useful if you already have some basic knowledge of the brewing process or have brewed once or twice.    Source: Imgflip.com ..read more
