It’s the first day of the year 2024, and as I look back on the previous year, all I can say is, “Omo, what a year!” This article normally should’ve been published yesterday. You know, the 31st of December is usually the deadline for yearly recaps. But it’s only the first day, and we’re just settling into the year- so it’s fine, I’m on time.  I initially didn’t want to write a 2023 recap because I thought, “I didn’t even do anything this year sef, what am I recapping?” But one day, I was looking for a particular picture in my Snapchat memories and I came across some snaps that made me laug ..read more

If you’re an avid reader of this blog, you already know the drill, so let’s skip the “I’m sorry I’ve been gone so long” apology. Just know that I love you, so please don’t give up on me.  Time and time again, I always ghost you guys and come back with a sob story of how life is lifing and then promise to be consistent, but we all know how that usually ends. So what exactly should I do? Should I stop blogging and take down this website? To be honest, I don’t want to. I’ve met some amazing people from around the world through this blog.  So basically, I’m not promising a consistent pub ..read more

It took a mental talk with myself, a long conversation with my father, and 11 voice notes to my partner to finally say, “I think I should make this a blog post’, so here we are. For a while, I forgot about this blog’s main purpose- to share my thoughts and experiences. So, here I am, sharing my thoughts and what I’ve been experiencing.  I am writing this blog post for a couple of reasons; to get things off my mind and chest, to look back and pat myself on the back when I finally achieve my goals, and to also refer my friends and family to this because I know I’ll still want to talk abou ..read more

Let me dust the webs real quick… Hello guysss! Ugh, it feels so weird writing this for real, and I don’t know if I still remember how to write for this blog, but here goes nothing. It has been over a year since I published a blog post for Cup of Tee, and I never thought it could happen because of how I used to be so obsessed with this blog, but here we are.  The funny thing is I’ve literally been writing every single day for 11 months now, ACTUAL BLOG POSTS but just not for Cup of Tee. Don’t worry, I’ll be giving you all the tea.  My one-year break was actually not intentional; pro ..read more

I remember when I first wanted to start my blog last year and I did so many researches on blogging. I found out about picking a niche and actually what a blog entails and a lot more. There’s no single thing about blogging that I didn’t search on google. I hadn’t even started yet and I was already learning how to pitch to brands for collaborations and all. I was going way over my head. But still do a lot of research to this day! Where am I heading with this? Calm down. During my research, I came across several articles talking about how bloggers need to have such beautifully curated Instagram ..read more

Dealing With Long Distance Friendships

This blog post was actually party inspired by this blog post from Osastheking and my recent experiences with dealing with and maintaining long distance friendships. As you might have seen from this blog post, I just recently completed my B.Sc degree and I’m back home in Lagos State, but now I’m bored. Back in University, I was so used to seeing my friends everyday and anytime I wanted but now I’m back home, it’s totally different. One friendship group is scattered all over the country, busy with their NYSC service, while the other friendship group is scattered all over the world in different c ..read more
