It’s been a minute since I last blogged, so I thought I would just quickly get you up to speed on what’s being going on behind the scenes here at TCD so far this year. So it turns out that taking on my first solo commercial project, moving country, buying and renovating a cottage and having twins is pretty exhausting …… who’d a thought eah! Backstage Beauty Let’s start with the commercial project; last Summer I was approached by a lovely couple to design their new business venture. A beauty salon in the heart of Abu Dhabi, I was a little apprehensive at first as the self doubt crept in; but I ..read more

I wanted to say a quick hello to introduce you to the latest recruits to the TCD team …………… and the reason why I have been so quiet on here! Meet my little cheerleaders; Pippa Margaret and Matilda Rae. These little ladies kept us on our toes throughout the whole pregnancy and at 35 weeks I went for a check up at the hospital and left a week later with my hands full! It’s been an incredible 4 months and by far the most exhausting, but rewarding full time job I have certainly ever had! In other exciting news; I have only gone and been shortlisted for the Amara interior blog awards this year ..read more

As an interior designer, I often find that lighting can be one of the most tricky parts of a project and can really make or break the end aesthetic. Designing my own home is no different, while designing the nursery for my new-born twins, I was searching for a lighting solution that was stylish, with easy installation,  battery operated, portable and dimmable. After hours trawling through many different websites, I began to think that I was asking too much out of a lighting product; that was until I came across Nunu lighting.  Visit NUNU LIGHTING HERE Nunu Lighting offered ..read more

Do you live in a flat or apartment with a balcony? and let me guess you hardly use it and it’s just basically an area to dry your clothes right? Before and in progress! This has been a long process in the making and unfortunately I decided to press ahead with the makeover after we had decided to leave this apartment! However we still have 3 months notice here, so I decided to go ahead anyway……. but with a catch! Minimal spend and no wall decoration, I love a challenge and this allowed me to get crafty with my glue and staple gun! The budget was set at £50 which allowed me to buy some bits from a local craft store and some new decorative cushions; for everything else I would have to get creative! So heres where it all started, and I think you will agree its pr ..read more
