“It doesn’t matter where you’re going, it’s who you have beside you.” ~Anonymous. Well, this trip I embarked on by myself but what I did have beside me was great beers, tasty food and picturesque scenery so I’d say that still counts as good company. Welcome to Ontario's West Coast, specifically ,Huron County. Huron County is roughly 3 hours from Toronto and the most agriculturally productive county in Ontario that connects us to 100km of coastline, lush countryside, year-round trails, small towns, vibrant rural communities and one of my more recent favourite destinations in Ontario. With local ..read more

Mild, Nashville hot, honey garlic, bundy, dry cajun, garlic parm, Hot BBQ, lemon Pepper, oh don't mind me just rhyming off wing sauces... I by no means claim to be a wing connoisseur but I eat ALOT of wings and am excited to share another option #NowOpen in Brantford, ON! St. Louis Bar & Grill has now opened its first-ever Brantford location, and they are celebrating by offering you half price wings until October 9th! But there are more reasons to visit this #canadianowned and operated franchise than their tasty wings and 29 rubs and sauces. They are serving up their signature fries that ..read more

This month we mark International Women’s Day, a time to continue to celebrate the role that women play in our lives as well as the craft beer industry. It’s also as great a time as any to continue to push for more equal gender representation in craft beer. Humans have been drinking beer for almost 7,000 years, and from fermenting fruit, honey, and rice in China to creating the world's first barley beer in Mesopotamia, women have been involved in beer since the very beginning- and in fact, women were the first to brew and sell this delicious beverage and in some places the first tavern owners ..read more

This interpretation of 'Brave Noise' is from Farm League Brewing so a round of applause to Farm League for being a part of this movement. This beer pours a deep, hazy golden colour with generous notes of peaches and citrus. It's 4.9% and it's delicious. On the side of the can you will find a QR code linked to the Farm League code of conduct, which is their pledge to foster a safe and inclusive environment at their brewery in Cambridge, ON. The Brave Noise collaboration advocates for safe spaces by requesting that breweries are transparent about their policies and maintain a proactive code of ..read more

Known to many as the Automotive Capital of Canada Windsor-Essex is also a prominent craft beer area and has been atop my list of places to visit ever since I visited there first in 2018. Whether you are local and looking for a staycation or are feeling good about booking short trips again it’s a great option to safely explore that offers a combination of lively urban districts rich in culture and rural countryside with farm-to-table deliciousness and best of all some tasty craft breweries. Windsor is smaller and often overlooked because most people want to see the big city of Toronto but this ..read more

There is no better time than NOW to stay put and explore what your "backyard" has to offer you. Chances are there are less crowds, minimal lineups and you will save both time and money! I have always been keen on travel and in my twenties spent time living in Hong Kong for a year and continued to take trips to S.E Asia, South America and across the USA. It wasn’t until my late thirties I started to realize there was a lot to discover in my own backyard, of course referring to Ontario. With COVID shutting down all of my summer travel plans overnight, it has made me reflect again on all Ontario ..read more
