It’s taken me a lot longer than it should have to write this blog post. It’s not because I’ve been busy or had writer’s block but pretty much because I was scared. You’ve probably noticed I have been very inactive on the old blog lately and I’m gonna be straight up – it’s because I couldn’t even bring myself to open WordPress. I wanted the whole typical “blogger life” to work out so much for me and I’ve come to the realisation I’m failing. When I started this blog, I promised myself three things: at least 1 post a week never go MIA plan your posts at the beginning of the week. Let’s just say o ..read more

Since September last year – when I attended my first ever yoga class – it’s safe to say my relationship with yoga has blossomed into something pretty special. From the queen of tight hips to a bird of paradise, yoga has done wonders for both my body and my mind. I think it might even be safe to say I am now officially a yogi! With the increasing popularity of all things health and fitness – yoga and meditation are definitely up there with building a booty. After a week of attending a handful of classes at different studios, I thought it’d be a great idea to tell you about three of my favourite ..read more

This past week has taken me by surprise in more ways than one. Not only has our wretched British weather blessed us with some Vitamin D, but we’re almost in June – what!? Am I the only one who thinks that after January the year just flies by? Anyway, I’m currently overwhelmed with all the summertime feels so I thought what a perfect time to start a blog series that covers all things, Summer! As we’re approaching festival season – and I’m screaming with excitement that Parklife Festival is in two weeks – what better way to start than with a summertime playlist! Now, when we are actually fortuna ..read more

I know it’s been ages now since Rihanna launched Fenty Beauty and when it first dropped I knew my bank account was going to hate me. Not only was RiRi giving us 50 different shades of the Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation, but as a black woman and constant advocate for inclusion, I knew she would not disappoint us ladies of colour. That was until I realised my hometown didn’t even have a Harvey Nichols. Gutted wasn’t the word. However, Boots recently partnered with Fenty and I think we all went into a frenzy. Furthermore, I’ve been stuck with tinted moisturiser for months now so, you c ..read more

So, let’s skip formalities because I’m pretty sure we ALL know of the Met Gala – some of us even dream of being invited – not that we’d have the slightest clue what to wear, who to wear and how to wear it, but that’s why it’s called dreaming. For those who are unfamiliar, each year the best of the best – whether it be in fashion, art or music – come together to attend our favourite fashion fundraising event and deliver iconic looks in accordance with that years theme. This years theme was “Camp:Notes on Fashion.” Anna Wintour summed this extravagant theme up perfectly by saying “basically, we ..read more

If you know me or follow me on Instagram there’s no doubt that you’ve noticed my ongoing obsession with Sweaty Betty and I can honestly say I have no regrets. This all started when I became friends with the lovely Store Manager at SB Nottingham, always seeing her in such cute casual/activewear and looking fab meant I couldn’t resist buying my first pair of SB leggings. I’d always wanted a pair of SB leggings but the price often put me off as compared to the likes of Gymshark and Alphalete – SB is definitely high end. So, during one of their amazing sales (they have the best discounts) I got my ..read more
