A SHARPER SCALPEL
FUN AND HIGH PERFORMANCE IN A MIDDLEWEIGHT
The Duke 790 is dead! Long live the 890 Duke! The opportunity was too good to be missed. So at the end of June I took advantage of fine weather to try out the new Duke on the road and on track.
When the prototype of the Scalpel was launched at the Milan EICMA Show in 2016, I was immediately seduced by the rebel roadster. KTM’s design studio, Kisha, gave it sharp lines that contrasted with the more classic aesthetics of other roadsters and set it apart ..read more

SINGLE AND LOVING IT
It’s the brappiest dual sport you can buy
The secret to understanding the updated-for-2021 Husqvarna 701 Enduro is all in the name. As in, 701. This is a massive single-cylinder engine.
And as in, Enduro. Although this is a street legal motorcycle, you don’t get the standard cushy streetbike experience. Instead, you get rip-your-face-off acceleration, and handling that keeps you on your toes.
The engine is the same muscular 693 cc four-stroke single that KTM started developing way back in 1987 ..read more

ITS OWN KIND OF FAST
Third gen Busa defines raw acceleration
The introduction of a new Hayabusa is a rare event. During the couple of decades that followed the original 1999 model’s launch, Suzuki has only presented one update, the 2008 2nd gen. Putting an end to years of rumours, the Hamamatsu manufacturer now finally unveils a third generation of its legendary beast, the 2022 GSX1300R Hayabusa.

Let me tell you right away, that was not an easy ride, covering 1,600 km in 48 hours in rainy, windy conditions, and going through dense traffic around Toronto.
Normally, I prefer taking my time to fully live the adventure and enjoy nice country roads. But I decided to squeeze that express ride into my tight schedule, and at the end it turned into a fine trip with great discoveries. I took Highway 401 both ways because I wanted to have more time to explore the Niagara Peninsula’s back roads. So I left Mont ..read more

The 82nd running of the historic Daytona 200 will feature nine Canadians on Saturday, as a pair of rapid Friday morning qualifying sessions determined the grid spots for each Bridgestone Canadian Superbike Championship rider in attendance.
Ben Young continued his upward trajectory from Thursday afternoon, quickly entering the 1:51 territory to begin Q2 aboard his Team BATTLAX Suzuki. That left the two-time defending CSBK champion just outside a crucial Top-12 Time Attack spot in 14th, but the pace continued to increase throughout the 30-minute session.
That was also true for Warhorse HSBK Duca ..read more
