Welcome to this Pinball News report from the launch party for the new ABBA game from Pinball Brothers.
We’re at the Clarion hotel in the Swedish city of Örebro which is around a two-hour drive west of Stockholm.

Pinball Brothers have released more details and pictures of their third title, based on the Swedish band ABBA.
The playfield of the new ABBA game
The playfield design is by Alexander Spohr, with sound design by Olof Gustafsson, video graphics by Kelly Mazurowski and cabinet/playfield artwork by Andreas Bennwik.
The game comes in two versions – Arrival Limited Edition (maximum 500 units) and Voyage Collector Edition (maximum 300 units). The Arrival Edition uses representations of the band from 1976, the year of the Arrival album release along with a clean, understated geometric design.

Pinball Brothers today confirmed that their third game release after Alien and Queen will be based on the world-famous musical artists, ABBA.

The game will feature twenty ABBA tracks – probably the most tracks by an artist or group incorporated into any single pinball machine – and will include footage from their ABBA Voyage stage show held in London.

We’re here in Texas for the annual Texas Pinball Festival, but before that we found time to visit a couple of prime pinball locations in the area, which meant a trip to see Free Play in Arlington was a must.
Free Play in Arlington, Texas
Free Play is a chain of five arcades located around the Dallas area, with the first being set up in Richardson in 2015. This Arlington location at 400 E. South Street was their second, opening in 2017. There is plenty of parking right outside, or you can use one of the nearby parking lots.

Today we are going in-depth with the ‘2.0’ conversion kit for the Bally title, Black Rose, which consists of an entirely new set of game rules, display graphics, sound calls, music and artwork, together with a complete replacement boardset and a mini-PC to run everything.

American Pinball have today announced their next new game, Barry O’s Barbecue Challenge.
Named after legendary pinball designer, Barry Oursler, who joined American Pinball shortly before his untimely death in February 2022, it pays homage to Barry’s love of BBQ and outdoor activities, and is based on the playfield design he began developing at American Pinball.
