Nineteenth century London was home to many spooky tales of local folk being attacked by creatures, ghosts, and on occasion, a human being. But from the first sighting in 1837 to the last in 1904 , no one knew exactly what Spring Heeled Jack was. Only that he had cemented his status as a menace.

The legend of the Loup-garou has many variations, which is to be expected after centuries of story-telling tinged with the influence of its respec ..read more

The Lange Man legend comes to us from central Europe. Lange Man translates to The Tall Man which hardly describes the ghastly appearance of the figure. It is said to have a long, slender frame with lanky, bony limbs. It is shadowy and has a pale mist like aura rising from its body. The Lange Man appears from the shadows of the night, floating in the air to follow those walking alone.
The origins of the story showed this figure in a much different light. It was once known in the 16th century as the Lange Wapper. Lange Wapper enjoyed helping people as a boy and eventually it paid off. He helped ..read more

They resemble the glow of an incandescent bulb and seemingly dance and float around, but lack an apparent source and seem to disappear or retreat further into the woods if pursued.
