Dave Kindig admits, “Problem for me is I have a very active imagination.” That’s what we’d call a good problem to have, and one that keeps the team busy at Kindig-it Design.  “I really like to have more than 10 cars to build at any given time. There’s at least 25, 30 cars in here that we’re working on at all times,” Kindig reports. “I really wanted it this way. To be honest with you, I would actually double the size again if I had the ability, because I’m a glutton for punishment,” he laughs. Kindig’s imagination has fueled his success and set him apart over the years. “I’ve always had ..read more

Passing from Gas Monkey Garage’s corporate offices into car territory, you might notice a white line painted on the floor. This line tells Richard Rawlings that it’s showtime. The shop owner explains: “when we were running and gunning and making Fast N’ Loud, [with] all a sundry of things going on, I’m trying to keep up with the money, I’m trying to keep everything moving, and the line to me means TV time. When an old building is destroyed, what happens to the parts, the physical remnants of all the labor and craftsmanship that went into the structure? So he began to collect and store parts of the past, from bricks to windows to unus ..read more
