Looking for a quick and easy Valentine’s Day, birthday or Mother’s Day gift? These reusable cotton washcloths and face scrubbies make an adorable gift set for someone you love! If you would like to purchase the printable PDF of this pattern you can find it in my Etsy shop here. (Includes the printable wrap label!) I used Lily Sugar n’ Cream yarn for these. I am very excited to share my first Tunisian Crochet Pattern! This trendy long and skinny scarf is lightweight but very long so you can wrap it around your neck a few times while it’s still cold outside. A PDF version of this pattern is available to download in my Etsy shop. This pattern uses two very basic Tunisian Crochet Stitches: Tunisian Simple Stitch and Tunisian Knit Stitch. The two stitches are alternated across the row. This results in a nice and subtle ribbing that looks a lot like knit. Even if you’ve never tried Tunisian Crochet before, this is a great project to get started. If y ..read more

Peach Scallop Edge Baby Blanket – Free Crochet Pattern

Here I am with another baby blanket pattern! Being in my mid-thirties, my friends are having babies quite often. And being a crocheter, it’s basically required by the Yarn Gods that I present their newest addition with a handmade blanket, right? Since I enjoyed the Bernat Sport baby yarn that I used in my Baby Feet Blanket so much, I decided to pick up some more in peach and white. I fell in love with the peach blossom yarn. It’s perfectly sweet and modern for a baby girl’s nursery. I used the blanket stitch for this pattern, which is beginner-friendly and repetitive. Because the bla ..read more

I am excited to share the free pattern for The Alpine Headband. These are made using the beautiful alpine stitch, which have a raised ripple texture that looks great in any color. You may find yourself (like me) making these for everyone on your holiday gift list. These make great holiday gifts for teachers, friends, co-workers, etc… And you can make quite a few with just one skein of yarn. So they’re economical too! I used I Love This Yarn! from Hobby Lobby. But any medium worsted weight yarn, such as Vanna’s Choice, will work for this pattern. You’ll just need to check your gauge to ensur ..read more

Today I am excited to share an easy ear warmer/ headband crochet pattern that works up quick and easy. These have a beautiful texture and an interesting design for a boho/modern look. This headband uses The Even Moss Stitch to achieve a wavy texture. And this stitch is really easy to do – alternating slip stitch and half double crochet stitches. For each repeat row you will be putting one slip stitch into each slip stitch from the previous row and one half double crochet into the half double crochet from the previous row. If you find it difficult to insert your hook under the slip stitches ..read more

What better way to get in a festive Halloween mood then by adding some handmade coasters to your home? These cute and spooky spider web coasters work up very quickly and easily. Get some candy corn and spooky drinks ready and you’re all set! I used 24/7 Cotton yarn for these coasters. Because of the mercerized cotton in this yarn these coasters are nice and sturdy when finished. You can add a plain cork coaster to the back of these if you’d like. I just left mine as is and I think they work perfectly fine. These coasters are constructed in 2 pieces (the white spider webbing and the plain bl ..read more

Hey yarn friends! It’s been awhile since I’ve done a yarn deal roundup. I honestly go back and forth about whether to do these every week. Sometimes there are really great deals that I want to share. But some weeks there are only mediocre deals. So my plan is to go back to doing these posts every Sunday (when the weekly ads come out) as long as I see deals worth sharing. I will be selling crochet items at craft fairs coming up this fall and winter, so I’ve been even more on the hunt for good yarn deals than usual. And it just so happens that this week has some GREAT deals. So here we go… 1 ..read more
