What if I told you that you can greatly enhance your external world by improving your internal world? Pick up any literature on success, happiness, and how to attain wealth and you will ALWAYS read in some form or another: success starts within. You cannot begin to attain your dreams without feeling whole or happy inside.
Let me guess before you achieved your goal or received your desired object you thought ad nauseam if I get this I will finally be happy. You may have talked to God, the universe, or whatever your higher power may be and promised that if you received this *insert desire* you ..read more

*First and foremost, please stay safe and keep those who are sick (with COVID-19, or any other illness) in your thoughts and prayers*
To put it bluntly, you would be a HUGE fool to not use this once in a lifetime situation to invest in yourself and your future.
I want you to close your eyes and picture yourself one year from now—what do you look like? Where do you work? What do you know?
No, seriously, close your eyes—like I am doing in the ridiculously photoshopped picture below—and imagine your ideal future…
A few years ago I was out of work for a number of months. I didn’t have money comin ..read more

It only took almost 29 years for me to realize how I was betraying the person I could have been. In 28 years and just shy of nine months, the truth hit me like a freight train. Like many, the truth came to fruition when everything in my life was dramatically falling apart. Somewhere along the road, I had come to the conclusion that my dominant way of thinking not only did not serve me, but I was falling short of any genuine progress. I was using an otherwise great self-analysis method in reverse, and it never dawned on me that I was being so regressive.
Starting at a rather young age I used t ..read more

I have come to a realization after experiencing one of the darkest cycles of depression I have had in my 28 years of living. For a little over a decade, I have become very, regrettably, familiar with depression. And during these 10—LONG—years I have tried this medication, that medication, meditation, and bottles of wine. Some coping tools worked better than others, and some anti-depressants weren’t joking when they warned of “suicidal thoughts” as a possible side-effect.
I truly believe, when it comes to depression, what works for one does not work for another. It may be comforting to know th ..read more

We spend one-third of our lives sleeping, on average. This is a huge chunk of our lives that many of us neglect to utilize. Did you know when you have a lucid dream you may be “awake” in your dream, but you are still getting extremely restful sleep? People who regularly lucid dream report feeling rested and recharged the next day. So if you are experiencing grogginess and fatigue most mornings, you may want to try lucid dreaming.
Beyond gaining restful sleep, lucid dreaming can be used to work through stress, trauma, anxiety, depression, and any other struggle you are experiencing. Many avid ..read more

Having a mental illness is not an excuse to forgo your dreams. The number of activities, aspirations, and goals we talk ourselves out of is based on a self-fulfilling prophecy. We tell ourselves we can’t do what we love because we are [sick] and by not doing it, we prove we are just in our self-analysis.
The term “mental illness” encompasses a litany of disorders—varying from “minor” to “severe”. Although, it is important to note that the severity of a person’s mental illness is incumbent on the involuntary negative effects of the disorder. If a mental disorder wreaks havoc and creates debili ..read more

Getting your heart broken is one of the worst emotional pains possible, and the reason for this is more scientific than you might believe. A broken heart is an all-consuming, numbing, and maddening experience. You might spend hours pining over ‘what went wrong’, or ‘what you could have done differently’. If you read the title and thought to yourself, ‘she’s finally lost her marbles’. Well, you would be wrong—I lost my marbles years ago. In any case, I have recently happened upon witchcraft and its resounding effect on my overall wellbeing.
I have ALWAYS wanted to be a witch. From the moment I first heard that people flew on brooms, (whole-heartedly believed it) I was a goner. Like any “normal” kid I decorated a kitchen broom and flew (hopped) on my trampoline with my best friend Sabrina…yes my best friend’s name was SABRINA.
Fast-forward to a few months ago, while searching for a spiritual me ..read more
