Land border closure agreement between Mexico and U.S. set to expire Sept 21. Eric L Martin | Chubby Diaries The U.S. State Department downgraded its travel warning for Mexico. The move comes less than a few weeks before the U.S. and Mexico agreement of a closed border is set to expire. The county is no longer under a Level 4 "Do not travel" warning. Applicants will be able to begin interviews resuming the process that has been on paused since March because of the coronavirus pandemic.
