cow printed nails, images & text by Ivania puffer / Weekday rings / Inflated You can tell when I don’t have my shit together by looking at my nails. The lacquer will be chipped off, the index fingernail is probably broken too and if I’m wearing acrylics they should have gotten a refill about a week ago. My nails give away that I have been putting myself on the bottom of my priority list. Which sadly, is not uncommon. With a fresh manicure however, I feel like my life is completely figured out. Hand gestures get bigger and better too. I will generously extend my hand to shake yours and ev ..read more

Bobby Pinned Bob

images by Ivania Bobby pins; holding hair in place since the 1920s. Named after the “bobbed-cut”, women who rejected traditional roles chopped off their hair and adopted the bob cut as a sign of modernity. The pins come in discreet colours and were meant to blend in and hide in the hair. I usually use silver ones, but this time I went for a black pack in the beauty supply store. Sliding a whole bunch of them around my face to keep my bob in place like a headband.     ..read more

This post was created in collaboration with 27-87 images & words by Ivania   Natural and hand crafted perfumes are a rare thing to come by these days. Synthetic mass produced scents in sparkly bottles rule the industry. That’s why I am delighted to introduce you to this independent, super fresh perfume house from Barcelona; 27-87. Who provide a series of hand crated fragrances in beautiful white matte metal bottles. (The reason that their bottles are plain is that they don’t distract from what really matters, the product and scent that is inside). 27-87 works together with o ..read more

Achieved with a razor, brow pencil and a dash of gloss on the lid. a graphic make up experiment visually strong, yet subtle two-tone black/white     ..read more

Image by Romeo & Ivania   I am so thrilled to have partnered up with one of the brands I most admire and my favourite perfumers; Comme des Garçons, who just released a new fragrance titled Black Pepper. Think: warm, dry Madagascan Pepper cracks against cedarwood, fused with the caramel resin of tonka bean and a hint of musk. A luxe scent that stays pretty constant throughout the day. Gender unspecific (will be battling over this bottle with the boyfriend). So good. I wish I could spray some onto you guys through the screen. Instead, Comme des Garçons and I will give away a few of the ..read more

lipstick / Limecrime images by Ivania    Me: Make up is fun Also me: Who has time for make up? A busy girl’s make up; two quick strokes of lavender lipstick (also: lidstick) right above the crease of the eye on a clean face. Not too exact or even but a little uncontrolled like a kid with a paintbrush. I imagine this lilac must look incredible on a dark eye too. I’ve been holding on to this old lipstick from lime crime, it is super saturated and opaque like a crayon but unfortunately it has been discontinued. nails by Claudia at Flawser Salon images by Ivania My first acrylic nail adventure.Besides some occasional fun press on nails for one night (that in reality never make it through the entire night), I’ve never had fake nails. Simply because nails naturally grow out of your fingertips, so I’ve never seen the need. Also the chemical, damaging aspect of acrylic nails made me hesitant towards them. But secretly, for a very long time, I’ve been wanting to get transparent permanent nails. So last week I went over to my cousin Claudia at Flawser Salon in Amsterdam to get me geared up.Happens that Cla ..read more

images by Ivania this post was made in collaboration with Alaïa Scent is one of the few things that you can’t experience through your screen. Though it is such a fantastic sense. Incoming smells are first processed by the olfactory bulb, which starts inside the nose and runs along the bottom of the brain. The olfactory bulb has direct connections to two brain areas that are strongly implicated in emotion and memory (the amygdala and hippocampus). Interestingly, visual, auditory (sound), and tactile (touch) information do not pass through these brain areas. Thi ..read more

image by Ivania   Taking good care of yourself beats any foundation routine, cream or contouring technique. Skin reflects your well being so much – to me it is like an indicator for my health status. So when it comes to skincare I like to focus on what is good for my skin as opposed to what will make my skin look good for a moment. This is a requested post, I’ve been getting questions about what my skincare regimen is and what kind of foundation I use – so here it is: my skin care checklist!   1/ eat clean This is the most important thing for me, great skin is just a s ..read more
