Discovered a new Yakiniku restaurant last weekend located in Aoyama/Gaienmae. Nice fancy romantic atmosphere, good meat, I’d be honest here – The service wasn’t the best. But good cost performance wise and the famous ‘Narisawa’s Bees Bar is just next door for you to enjoy post-dinner cocktails. I would definitely recommend for visitors to Japan looking for an authentic delicious meal. Kalbi (Karibi in Japanese) What is Kalbi Beef? Kalbi is a classic Korean Barbeque short rib dish, perfect for grilling. Galbi is the korean word for ‘rib’ and it is beef from short ribs, cut thin, mar ..read more

Kushinobo is a upscale chain ‘Kushiyage’ restaurant located on the 5th floor of Roppongi Hills. They recently refurbished the restaurant about a year ago and now has an elegant modern Japanese atmosphere, good food and excellent service. This chain of tasty creativity on a stick should be your lunch or dinner bucket list. You can choose a set course, say 8 or 10 fried skewers (mix meat, fish and vegetables), plus great miso soup, rice and a small bowl of raw veggies to crunch on. You also get different sauces, pickles and extras. The skewers can be something familiar like a fried shr ..read more

Elio’s is a popular Italian eatery located in the center of Kojimachi close to the Imperial Palace. The restaurant is owned and operated by an Italian chef Elio, and his fellow Italian servers. Luckily, we had a reservation because the place was fully booked on a Saturday afternoon. It gets quite busy during the noon hour, with a mix of Japanese patrons and foreigners, some of them that work for the British Embassy nearby. Reservations are highly recommend for lunch and dinner. They do lunch sets ranging from 1600Yen – 3800Yen ,and they also offer a la carte at lunch time. The Food ..read more

Frey’s is a neighborhood pizzeria just one street away from Ritz Carlton/ Tokyo Midtown, Roppongi. Last weekend, we decided to check it out for dinner since we were in the hood. Its a very small, casual restaurant with a bar seating and a couple of tables. This place is featured in the Michelin guide as a bib gourmand offering exceptionally good food at moderate price. They serve excellent crisp bottomed doughy crusted pies – Freshest ingredients, assembled in plain sight and served piping hot from the wood fire oven. CapreseA must try – LIMONATAThe restaurant doesn’t seem to have many ..read more

Looking for Tokyo’s best burger joint?? AND…… Do you trust ‘TOKYO FOOD BLOGGERS’S recommendations?? Then – Look no further than this place called ‘ALDEBARAN’ located right across Roppongi’s ‘Grand Hyatt Tokyo’. A shabby entrance leads to a steep staircase down to a concrete basement, DJ turntables, and well-worn leather furniture. This is hands down my FAVOURITE burger spot in Tokyo. The hidden burger joint is only open during the day from 11AM – 5PM. Upon arrival, you’ll be asked to write down your name and phone number, and wait elsewhere until they call to let you know your seat i ..read more

Yakitori?? Its cheap, tasty chicken/pork skewers and needs to be washed down with copious amounts of beer, Right? For the most part, that’s how it should be.
