LP TT Forum Closing Monday.

You should see an official announcement soon, but on Monday Thorn Tree will become read-only. 14:00 UTC These are uncertain times for us all, and while we certainly hope that Thorn Tree will be back online in the future, the moderation team will sadly be saying goodbye after many years. It has been mentioned in another thread by @andreas_at_lp but if you have any topics you would like to bookmark or users you would like to stay in contact with, now would be the best time to do so. Have a Happy and Healthy Future. Last post at: 2020-04-12 18:31:52 UTC ..read more

The forum goes read-only around 1400 UTC Monday. It's been a fun 16 years for me, and I've "met" a lot of good American folk (and have actually met three in real life). There is an Alternative Thorntree group established over on Reddit ... if you wish to keep the conversation going. Farewell! Ian in Melbourne Last post at: 2020-04-12 15:48:34 UTC ..read more

I suppose an international exotic destination is like Iceland or Bali. But what about in the US and Canada? Do we have exotic destinations? I suppose it depends on how you define exotic. I know someone who went to El Yunque Rainforest in Puerto Rico recently. Maybe Kauai qualifies. Newfoundland? Last post at: 2020-04-12 06:39:06 UTC ..read more

Hi all, My wife and I are going on our honeymoon in the US in September/October, and are planning a road trip in the south. We're booked to fly into Atlanta on 29th September, and then out of Atlanta on 26th October, but haven't planned anything beyond that (apart from a conference my wife has to attend in Cincy). My very rough sketch of a plan was a circular trip that goes: 29th Sept - Heathrow to Atlanta to New Orleans (via internal flight, rather than drive) 30th Sept to 5th Oct in New Orleans 6th Oct - Drive New Orleans to Memphis 6th Oct to 8th Oct in Memphis 9th Oct - Drive Memphis to ..read more
