I love teas with a toasted flavor like this. This tea is certainly a great example of a good hojicha. This tea is sweet and thick bodied, slightly astringent in a good way, and of course has that wonderful toasted flavor. The aroma is very nice and also has the toasted smell. I really enjoy this tea a lot! The aroma is very pleasant, it kind of smells like pumpkin seeds. This tea is really great! The taste is very smooth, it's not too astringent or bitter. The aroma is very nice, it has a slight dank pu erh smell, which is interesting and I like it. I was very pleasantly surprised by this. I just finished disrespecting another fruit flavored tea from Upton, so I was not expecting much, but this is, as advertised, very fruity and tropical. This tea seems pretty good quality and has a nice, but mild green tea aroma. The price is reasonable and the tea is good enough that I think the value is fair. It tastes like a classic green tea however it is slightly too bitter and astringent for my taste. This is pretty robust for a Ceylon tea, with some tannin bite and a woody aroma. It was quite a bit better with milk than with lemon and sugar, which surprised me. With just a little vegan milk added, it makes a very good breakfast style tea. My intention in buying this was to mix it with a Darjeeling for iced tea (mimicking Upton's iced tea blend, which I like).
