The main topic of todays' episode is a few twists to some money (dare we say gambling?) games on the course. Many of us use Milligans. That of course is an official "do over" when we have a bad shot. Prior to Teeing off we will decide how many Mulligans per side each player will get.
But now we suggest adding the "Gilligan". That is also a "do over" but a "do over" demanded by one of the others in your group. Let's say you hit the shot of your life. On a Par 5 you stripe a fairway wood and it rolls up on the green. Chance at an eagle putt. But since I am such a good friend and competitor I wil ..read more

Jeff explains to John (and everyone else) how to predict the green speed. Many techniques to use like simply walk on the green. Is it spongy (slow) or firm (fast)? Is the grass dark or shiny? That tells you if the grass is growing toward you (slower, more friction) or away from you (faster, less friction).
Jeff also offers some tips and techniques on how to handle the different speeds once you are able to predict the speed acurately ..read more

How obnoxious are you on the golf course? These are the things so many of us do that we hould stop doing so we no longer piss off our playing parners or others on the golf course. For instance: don't be the guy who tell others what they did wrong when a shot goes awry. Dont be the guy who hangs in the cart until after his partner hits to go to his ball and assess the shot and take it.Don't be the guy who talks loudly while others are trying to take the shot. There are a while raft of things we sometomes do that we all should be aware of and try to stop doing this seasin on the golf course ..read more
