Hi,
I have a camerasetup (link to camera) with a very bright light source 4x240lm 6500K, give or take 1600lux on an area I'd like to take images from ->picture below.
The problem is that the images are now very bright, id like to lower that.
Is there a way to get less light to the camera by manipulating shutter time or exposure?
can I do that even on the software side? or should I just buy some new lights with less lichtstrom (id rather not do that :D )?
Do you have any suggestions or a hint on how I should solve said problem?
If you're interested here is some context:

Hello,
I'm interested in training a machine learning model to identify different levels of nsfw within images. I've got some 80k images sorted into classes and rated as G, PG13, R, or X. To start I'm planning on just finetuning a resnet 18 model trained on ImageNet v1. I figured I'd do kfolds cross validation, and right now I've written my code in pytorch since I wanted a chance to practice torch over tensorflow. The first round of modeling efforts perform alright. The training accuracy raises fairly after a couple of kfolds and eventually the validation accuracy and loss converge (training w ..read more

I’ve done my graduation project in the field of CV so I’m familiar with the frameworks and techniques but not to the point that I can apply for a job in CV.. I’m desperately looking for a roadmap with courses to start learning and build a strong resume Also.. I’m a bit weak at problem solving would that be a major issue?

I've been working on a facial recognition-based attendance system project with the target of recognizing more than 20 students in a class from a single group picture. The algorithm I'm using to detect the faces is RetinaFace and to generate face embedding, I'm using FaceNet. Currently I'm using only one photo of per individual to generate the reference embedding which I then use to recognize the faces detected in the group picture by calculating the Euclidean distance between the embeddings of the detected faces and the reference embeddings stored in my database.
This works decently for detec ..read more

I've been failing to get an opencv script working to compare two images and identify whether the objects shown are the same or not with a high level of accuracy.
For example, these two pictures show two objects that despite their equal dimensions are not the same. Is there any guide/tutorial that could guide me through the process?

Hi,
This is a follow-up to my previous post on DIY dog gaze tracking: https://old.reddit.com/r/computervision/comments/1bmkljm/diy_help_with_dog_gaze_tracking/.
I've been training a model with DeepLabCut to detect my dog's keypoints, aiming to automatically reward him for actions like sitting. Initially, I considered using the keypoints' positions/angles to recognize tricks. However, I discovered a paper (https://arxiv.org/pdf/2101.02380.pdf) proposing image classification for this challenge, prompting me to try a similar approach. I'm also using a jetson nano. My question is: are there any o ..read more

Hi there,
I am working on building a system to count cars in my street using the video feed from one of my cameras. There are a few things that make the project a bit challenging:
I want to count cars in both directions.
The camera angle is not ideal: it looks at the cars from the side instead of the top (which I think would make things easier). See: this image for an example.
My algorithm works like this: per each frame, run a CNN (opencv/gocv) and perform car detection. Per each detection (car) see if I have already seen it in previous frames, if not, store it and save the bounding box of ..read more
