Hi, I was using GFPGAN for image enhancement, it's result is quite amazing but it takes too long to perform inference on each image. I'm looking for fast image enhancer deep learning model which can also give good quality output. It's quality may not need to be comparable to GFPGAN but shouldn't be too bad. submitted by /u/IntentionalKiller [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Configuring PS Eye Cameras with OpenCV python

Hello there. I'm working on a project that requires the use of OpenCV python and multiple infrared cameras. I'm using two modified PS Eye cameras, but I can't seem to get video from both cameras at the same time. It is some issue with the driver. I've used the CL-Eye driver, but that only lets me use one camera. I've also tried using the pseyepy driver, but I'm having a lot of trouble setting it up on my Windows 11 computer. I followed this playstation move service tutorialand have gotten both cameras working with the test_camera.exe file, but I'm not sure how to use python with this. I'm pre ..read more

Phi-3 Vision: an efficient multimodal model

Microsoft continues to release the models of the Phi-3 family, and between them there is also Phi-3 Vision, a multimodal model powered by Phi-3 Mini, that has only 4.2B parameters. Despite this, it's able to reach and to be comparable with other powerful multimodal models... I hope to see more and more models going towards this direction! A guide about it in: https://didyouknowbg8.wordpress.com/2024/05/23/phi-3-vision-seeing-and-understanding-the-world-with-ai/ Hope it's useful! submitted by /u/Gloomy-Log-2607 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Surface grading. I may be getting a project that involves grading road and trail conditions. I image there are no models for isolating them. Is this a situation where you try to recognize every than mask them out leaving the road or is there an approach i should be looking into? Once the travel surface has been identified, ill need to identify things like ruts, potholes, alligator cracking, etc. Ive never done any cv projects that didnt involve discrete objects under set conditions. Any advice? submitted by /u/gfranxman [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

I hold a B.Tech and M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering and am currently pursuing a PhD at a prestigious private university in India. Throughout my academic journey, I've developed expertise in deep learning methodologies, including CNNs and NLP, and have experience with various ML models. I've authored two published papers, with one currently under review. As I near the completion of my PhD thesis, I've begun actively seeking industry roles. Over the past two months, I've been diligently searching for opportunities on platforms like LinkedIn and Naukri. However, I've encountered diffi ..read more

SfM vs. NeRFs

I'd like to have some idea exchange on the titled topic. Classical 3D reconstruction methods like COLMAP yield textured meshes, on which one could conduct measurements, given a calibrated camera, or at least an object in the scene with a known physical dimension. You could then establish pixel-to-metric correlation and use that scale. I wonder if Neuroagenlo (or Nerf-based methods, let's say) could achieve the same. Could you actually conduct measurements on the output of such Nerf-based methods? I saw that Neuroangelo also uses COLMAP for preprocessing, hence my curiosity. Has anyone made an ..read more

I am trying to automate Google Chrome Dino game in order to do that I cropped the images of objects to dodge such as small cacti, big cacti, bird (pterodactyl) in both day and night state (game has alternating day and night cycle) and by using OpenCV matchTemplate function I am able to locate the objects by looping throughout the dictionary of objects in question. The way my program works in while loop: Capture screen with area in front of the dino Loop through objects I want to detect and detect with with cs2.matchTemplate When detected object x coordinate is within distance threshold the d ..read more
