 Last week I made the trip back home to DC to see my mom and get some Roy Rogers fried chicken. I’ll let you decide what’s the bigger priority.  I’ve covered a lot of Australian bluray label Umbrella Entertainment releases through the years. Mainly Cannon Films releases because in my opinion, no other label puts out a better Cannon disc better than Umbrella. And with that said, I can say the Masters of the Universe release could be my all time favorite. And that’s saying a LOT!!!   I know people often hail 1984 as the greatest year in movie history but I gotta say it: I’ll put the summer of 89 alone up against any other year in movie history. 84 was great and had a ripple effect on the movie industry that id still felt to this day but the amount of hits and memorable moments we got from just the summer 89 alone actually surpasses everything we saw 5 years before imo. ​I was thinking earlier about Suburban Commando. You know that one. It was Hulk Hogan’s second starring movie role where he plays a bounty hunter from outer space and crashes on to earth and does a buncha goofy stuff. A movie that you could probably only get away with in 1991. Great cast too! Christopher Lloyd, Shelly Duvall, The Undertaker, even Michael Faustino (yeah, Bud Bundy’s brother!). Mike has made an impact of the animation world through his on screen work for The Venture Brothers, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Bleach, One Piece and countless other series. ​Spotlight on Mattel’s New Adventures of HeMan Masterverse figures. These are absolutely fantastic and I hope fans will go out of their ways to grab them. A very very under appreciated era that doesn’t get enough love. These look great on display! Glad we finally got such great representations of these designs! Mattel has been killing it with the Masterverse line lately and including many eras and different interpretations of HeMan is certainly a big reason why. A few weeks ago, Trader Joe’s revealed one of their new Thanksgiving themed products: stuffing flavored popcorn!!! Well, to say this was incredibly popular would be an understatement because it seemingly sold out everywhere. Great for business but it sucked for those who couldn’t grab a bag. Myself included. But it gives me hope that next year it comes back and more will be produced. Well, the moment we Ghostbusters fanatics have been waiting for is here! The trailer for the new Ghostbusters movie “Frozen Empire” has arrived and…boy oh boy do we all have some thoughts here!
